Hi Guys sorry for the flashy title but I didn't know what else to call this thread. I opened a bwin poker trading account for the first time. They let me open the account and deposit $400 and then instantly blocked it. It was extremly difficult even contacting them because I could not log into the account at all but I eventually got ahold of live chat 12 hours later. They claimed that they blocked my account because of a Part Poker account I have that I owe money too. This is completely false. Is there anything I can do?

They have gone rouge, they put on a very juicy offer on the casino side (I forget what it was exactly but all you had to do was deposit £50 and wager it once and if you lost they refunded your money or something like that) this was a few weeks back, I caught it at the beginning and made zero profit but was able to pull the £50 back. I’m part of a group who find +ev offers and exploit them (I don’t do much of the “finding” though) anyway 1000’s of people are being denied withdraws across there website, maybe they’re about to go bust

Maybe they are just being nitty as they can basically do want they want because it is in they terms and conditions that they can refuse to pay you a offer and you can't do Jack about it...

What? Why would anyone play there with that being part of the contract. They can just jack your money? Can't you just go to a regulator?

If OP was using a US-based credit card, then expect to see the card closed as soon as they seek the chargeback...issuer will claim the card was used in violation of the cardholder agreement. And, because the card was used for what the issuer will claim was illegal activity through the shell account workarounds, they ALSO are not likely going to do much on the chargeback.

I spent an hour on the phone with my CC company but I use a pre paid for this stuff and its not nearly as easy to dispute with a pre paid credit card

I can't even log into my account to contact or speak with anyone and it took me hours just to track down an email address separate from inside their site.

I got an auto response saying 48 hours and wait

I agree that their offers have become more predatory and they seem determined to move players to the casino. Their marketing has become a bit of a shambles with totally seperate promos that run at the same time. Promos constantly are done incorrectly with misspellings etc. Customer service still bad there as well.

You could try contacting their rep on our forums, and also wait for the other response. Seems like a much better route than assuming they stole your money and trying to dispute CC charges so soon.

I get that this is frustrating, but you're probably going to have to have a little patience.

Hi

bwin do not have a specific rep on these forums
Please provide your partypoker username and the name used to create the bwin account
I can then ask the relevant teams to follow up
Send a PM if you are not comfortable sharing your details on this thread

Can I ask your source please?
This is 100% incorrect
We have no financial issue and no withdrawal issues
The payments are possibly delayed due to the promo being abused and transaction requests being reviewed

I will share this feedback directly with the bwin management team for review
Can you provide a direct example of these marketing errors?

Hi Colette many of the pages are offline now but thanks for passing on the issue. The promotion guides should really be written by a technical writer, not someone from marketing.
