Cliff : playing on Action and Bol under 2 accounts at the same table.

So a fellow 2p2'r had $65,000 confiscated by Betonline for alleged chipdumping.

See thread in this forum. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...s-end-1127225/

What really disturbed me is that BOL is not providing hand historys
so that 2p2'r cannot dispute the charge and defend himself properly. Reading the thread, it also seems sketchy that Betonline (which allows US players) can share tables with Action Poker (which does not allow US players).

Reading the thread today I noticed someone mention they could sit at both clients on the same computer. What? No way. I remember several years ago there was a flaw in the former Games Grid Poker site that allowed this with a one of their skins as well. So ok it is possible but this was 5 or 6 years ago and I am thinking no way can this be happening still on any sites.

So today I did a test.

1) Note that these are play money tables as there is no way I am going to put a cent on Action Poker or Betonline. However I am fairly certain it is the same client and programming used for real and play money. Maybe soemone else has insight into this issue.

2) Both clients are open on the same computer and at the same ip address.

3) I am playing the 2p2test1 account on Action and the 2p2test2 account on BOL at the same time.

4) It appears that this only works if you open BOL first and then Action and not the other way around.

So here it is. See images below. Maybe someone could increase the image size as I am not getting great screenshots.

I can confirm this is legit also.

In fact when I originally found this a while ago I contacted multiple Poker Websites to get the 'word out' so players were aware of what they were getting into.

Pokerscout contacted me back and after investigating on their own agreed to add BetOnline to the APN list of skins.

Players shouldn't even be able to open 2 skins on the same Network, oh but I guess they aren't on the same Network

About three summers ago I played on Action poker. They took 2months to cash out some stupid amount like $200 or something so I just never went back.

I did this same test several months ago and drew the same conclusion as you. The sites are not secure. I played myself heads up on multiple tables logging into BOL and Action at the same time. BOl denied being on the same network and I did not bother to pursue it, instead posting it in several forums.

One of the locked account complaints involves two players at the same cash game table from the same IP. They banned a player and took all of his money even though it was their software problem that allowed the situation to occur. If players cannot play at the same table from the same IP, the software should block them from doing so. They should not be using their software flaw to profit.

Correct, I played myself heads up on the same laptop. The software should not even let you play from same IP, much less same computer. Now they accused a player of cheating because he sat at same table as someone he shared IP with even though a secure software would have never allowed it.

Shady software + bad player decision = Betonline profit

To take this even farther one of the players had played at work and didn't think he was doing anything wrong. They did end up paying his Cashout if I remember. I guess this is just another example of why they should sure up this HUGE security risk because it can cause players trouble that are not intending to do anything deceptive or shady.

I also believe I read on other forums that a few players had accounts locked for simply playing from the same IP even if it was at different times. I guess what I'm getting at is the failure to block players from sitting at the same table from the same IP is resulting in players having accounts locked for playing at the same IP even if it is at different times. My wife plays poker some and we've never had a problem, though we've always contacted the Poker Sites upfront and made sure that they were aware of the setup prior to even making an account.

They are clearly a site that players should avoid and it's become more clear over the last few months.

There is good reason the software shouldn't.

A lot of people when they play on a skin don't realise it is a skin, they think they are all different sites.

Somewhat reminds me of zeejustins excuse where he partly blamed the software letting him on his behaviour.

Action poker network I think is a publically held company. Isnt the company called playsafe which is listed on the Norwegian stock exchange? http://www.corporateinformation.com/...usip=C57800010

I remember the reason quoted when the mass exodus from the US market came from the UIGEA was that we are publically held and do not want to expose our stockholders to liability? How is this publically held company allowed to do this in the US market?

Just another reason to STAY AWAY! Any site advertising these scumbags should be blacklisted...

There is a simple reason as to why they do this. They actually WANT you to mess up and do something like have an account on two skins or accidently sit at the same table. The reason for this is if you even sat at the same table for one hand accidentally they would use this as evidence of wrongdoing on your part. Of course they would not shut down your account immediately. They would be happy to let you play and run up as big a balance as you want. Then when you tried to cash out they would seize all your funds.
