Bad beats are part of the game. I understand that. But after absorbing more than my fair share on Poker Stars I switched to Full Tilt six months ago. The first few months were much better over on Full Tilt.

Now Full Tilt is worse than Poker Stars ever was. The past month has been brutal. Tonight I've had pocket aces six times. All six times I lost to someone with a lower pocket pair.

I can't tell you how many times (at least 100 times the past thee weeks) where someone needs one card, especially two or three hours into a tournament, and they hit when odds are 90 to 95% in my favor.

You tell yourself that's poker until it happens time after time after time.

I enjoy playing poker online but I'm about ready to give it up. There doesn't seem to be a site to where it plays out like a casino. You see bad beats in a casino but NOTHING like Full Tilt and Poker Stars back when I played over on that site.

Curious as to others observations. Is there a site that's on the up and up or is it time to retire from online poker where you start to get the feeling the deck literally is stacked against you?

It was acknowledged at least a combined 500 times from about every non-riggie posting itt, yet riggies keep repeating that point over and over, because they don't really care about correctness.

Does a single riggie acknowledge that it is mathematically impossible to significantly change a random distribution without it being detectable and provable? Because I can easily back it up. Everyone able to read wikipedia (Freddie may not fall into that category) can check if that is true. Everyone capable of simple logic can work that out even without having a clue of statistics.

If you prefer to believe that you are right and don't need evidence because you are not stupid (lol), then it is indeed some religious thing, and it makes no sense to argue. Thinking a martyr goes to paradise where 72 virgins wait to sexually serve him is based exactly on the same evidence. Zero (read: zero), that is.

I am yet to find a single riggie statement backed up with a single piece of evidence. If someone can link me to one (read: 1), that would be great.

Stars, FTP, Party et al. are on the up and up, I`d even venture to say UB and AP are as well in terms of random number generators (says nothing for superusers).

Quite frankly how this works is that our brain tries to compensate in that we want to think our winnings are based on skill and our losses are based on luck, therefore we have selective memory and tend to remember bad beats, but not hands where we were underdogs and sucked out.

It seems so much worse than playing live because playing 1 table of full ring you see 2x as many hands. Now if you multitable, you see somewhere between 4x - 40x more hands and 4x - 40x more bad beats in a given time period, although the actual frequency remains the same.

JH1. What you say I'm sure is probably somewhat accurate.

But I've been keeping a notepad the past two weeks just to see if I had selective memory. Believe my suck outs are about what they're supposed to be -- about 10% when odds are 90% against me. But when I'm favored it's nowhere close to me winning as many times as I should.

And it's been that way for four or five weeks. I even had my son watch my games tonight. Losing all six times when you have pocket aces? Come on!

Several other times someone hits when they need one card. When other players are apologizing constantly or making comments on the chat room how you're getting screwed it's not just me.

after giving this much thought and reviewing your evidence, i agree with you.

i suggest we give up together. what time will you be giving up poker, so i can coordinate and also give up at the same time? i would prefer it to be after friday, b/c i feel that my aces almost always hold up on thursdays (although my kings are breakeven that day). on fridays if my dog watches me i do well.

or maybe i can give up on all days BUT thursdays and fridays.

we'll work out a semi retirement. pm me.

i moved from stars to FTP, not because stars is rigged, i like stars, for me all actions is realistic, sometimes you have badbeats, sometimes you have set ups, but its normal. when i moved to FTP, i got so many set ups, coolers, bad beats...in one month, when the money or chips (in SnGs) are in, then usually i will have bad beat, cooler or set up.
i am not losing player, even with this crap i didnt lose my small roll (300$) i transfered to FTP. but i have a feeling thats is really unreal to get so much crap. maybe its variance, but i have a feeling its something wrong.

the main question is, is it possible to calculate coolers, set ups, outdrawns in objective way, simillary like sklansky bucks or all in expectetion. i think is the black hole where no one can say nothing.

the funny thing about internet poker being rigged is the more you study and practice and really commit to improving, the less and less rigged it gets.

Poker is a game of luck. And the more I practice the luckier I get.

I totally agree with the above poster. After all, he had his son AND A NOTEPAD to check him out.

Unfortunately, i only have a couple of hundred thousand hands (at stars, party) with me up overall.

As for aces, what was the SPR you had on all of the 8 hands? If it was low, then bad beat, if it was high, you prolly suck. If you dont know what spr is, then you prolly do suck

Stopped reading there... You have had a few good months, then one bad, and suddenly you shout out? I mean, come on?!... Dunno why I even bothered opening the thread.

If you think online poker on Stars, FullTilt + the like is rigged, THEN WHY ARE YOU PLAYING ONLINE? Go to your local cardroom, have some fun, don't need to bother taking out your notepad + bore your son, desperately seeking some pity, over at the cardroom, lol...

its higher, but it should be much higher, but as i said i have met a lot of crap. its just to proofe that i am not looser, and all crap i met in cash games. it was unreal how much set ups, coolers bad beats i had.

anyway, my question is is it possible to calculate such things in objective way? like pokerEv or sklansky bucks?
