Full Tilt cheating reimbursement

First off i am very happy to recieve this from Full tilt as i have only heard about stars reimbursments in the past. So gg FT.

Secondly this is after only after this month of playing 9man super turbos at the $2.15 level. Seems to me that the superturbos are rife with this going on. I did have a suspision agaist a few players who either a)16 tabled, 16 hours a day and b)always in same games. Although never cared to much due to the micro stakes involved.

Dear me

The Full Tilt Poker Security department has recently concluded an extensive investigation and we have determined that some of your opponents were in violation of our site terms.

We have permanently closed all of the offending accounts. In cases of proven cheating, 100% of the confiscated funds are returned to the players who were victimized. The reimbursement calculation is based on the number of tournaments or hands played against the offending players, and the amount won or lost against them.

We have determined that you are entitled to a refund of $2.16 which will be placed in your account in the next 72 hours.

For a number of reasons, we are unable to provide any other additional information regarding this case, including the players involved and the game type where it occurred. We thank you for your understanding in this regard. The vigilance of our players in reporting suspicious behavior is an important addition to our ongoing diligence against unethical conduct, and we carefully investigate every concern of suspicious activity.

If you believe you have witnessed unfair play at our tables, please don't hesitate to contact us at security@fulltiltpoker.com. If there is any other way we can be of assistance, please let us know.

Did u reported any players\hands\games? I've seen a lot of ppl getting reinbursements from FTP (including me) but usually this only happens when we report something.

Re: Full Tilt cheating reimbursement

Do you think they were colluding or running bots? Im happy to hear FTP is closing these accounts, but at the same time as I am playing similar stakes I would hate to think that its possible I am being cheated.

I have to admit I know a few players that I talk to regularly that play 16 tables and it would be easy to misconstrue that they play 16hrs a day as I have noticed their sessions are 2-4hrs 3-4 times a day.
But I want to know if you have any other evidence.

On a side note I would think that due to the short stacked nature of the Super Turbos it would be easier to run a bot in them then in the standard sit-n-go.

Re: Full Tilt cheating reimbursement

I'm a Super Turbo reg and I've had several of these over the last year or so. First time was due to a German run bot ring (they suspended all of the high volume accounts while they investigated) but I have no idea what the others were. It's a nice bonus every now and then, bots/colluders aren't usually that good (although I would prefer more fish!).

Re: Full Tilt cheating reimbursement

Bonus? I can not see how you can view these payments as any kind of bonus. It is likely that players are not 100% compensated from caught colluding players due to money they have already cashed out. Id be hard pushed to believe that Full Tilt would pay out of their own pocket. Then also concidering the colluders that are never caught, which obviously values can't be figured out and only guessed at.

My reason for this thread was not so much hey look guys the super turbos have colluders in them. I think that that is a given when looking at the structure of the games. I was more posting to say that after a small amount of play at the $2.15 level that i am already recieving these compensations. I am sure that as you go up threw the buy in levels that its likely to become more common, so what does that say about the scale of the problem.

It happens maybe 2-3 times a year and my point was that the cheaters are often not even very good at it. I'd much rather have an average cheater in my game than any of the other good regs! Super turbos don't encourage collusion any more than regular sngs do. The scale of this problem is absolutely tiny compared to the Double or Nothing collusion rings as that format genuinely is one which provides a strong incentive to collude.

Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if collusion was more common in the lower stakes as poor skilled colluders will still end up getting crushed by the competent players.

Re: Full Tilt cheating reimbursement

Just recieved one of these same emails...nice 19 bucks back in my account. Do wish I had some clue as to whether this was cash or tourney as I play a lot of both. It'd be nice to know what type of cheater I was up against so I could know better how to spot it. Most likely some colluders at a late stage of a tournament I cashed deep in.

Full Tilt Catches Small Stakes Rush Cheats?

I just got this email from Full Tilt Poker (Below).

I have barely played any hands in the past few months and only play Rush $100NL buy-in tables

I am wondering if anyone else got any email like this recently and how they would even go about cheating at rush? How common is this?

I really want to know more about the situation, but judging from the email they aren't going to tell me anything.

I just got back around $16 bucks. I mainly play $50 and $100 nlhe Rush Poker FR. Most likely a bot because you can't really count on collusion in rush poker.

A ****load of bot accounts. Many of them Shanky bots were frozen and funds seized. Also alot of others for other reasons. Looks like spring cleaning in the fall lol.

I don't play FT tho, so I don't get none of the money

Re: Full Tilt cheating reimbursement

I guess its feasible they had multiple investigations and just waited to reimburse everyone at the same time to throw us off? Or the cheaters designed bots into multiple games? Weird

Re: Full Tilt Catches Small Stakes Rush Cheats?

yeah, I got the same e-mail (with a slightly different amount obviously...). I usually play HU SNGs and only played a few hands of Rush at the micro stakes to try it. Have you only played Rush lately or regular FR cash as well?

@Devilz: what games did you play? Between the three of us we should be able to figure out in which games we were cheated, shouldn't we?
