Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

Not to start fear mongering or anything, but is anyone worried that by having to reverse these, thier bank will be less likely to approve future legit poker transactions?

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

FT is SERIOUSLY off base with this and imo it warrants a total boycott of FT by 2+2 players until they address the situation which was MOST DEFINITELY caused by them providing private banking information to PMI. FT should take responsibility for this and rectify the situation or suffer consequences from the poker community. At the very least the people affected deserve for one of the FT reps here on 2+2 to go on record about the situation and if 2+2ers aren't satisfied with the answer(s) and/or actions of FT they need to be held responsible by us since there is no true regulation by govt. entities.

Regulate them with your wallets guys, if they start to lose regs they WILL take notice eventually. We pay tons of rake to the sites and deserve at a bare minimum some security in our transactions.

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

This is more then just 2 plus 2'ers boycotting... A serious felony robbery is taken place here effecting so many people/victims of people playing on FTP.

Many players/customers that do not visit this forum that have no idea that small dollar amounts are being stolen from them each month. Add of all of these stolen monthly amounts and it probably equals some serious dollars being stolen from poker players all over that play on Fulltilt.

If this was UB the folks in the poker community would be going nuts... Why then is this seemly being swept under the carpet at not being a big issue. In fact, outside of 2 Plus 2, this is not even making news.

I am not saying FTP is part of this directly (definitely indirectly though) - but the silence and lack of getting involved is disturbing since they indirectly played a major role in their customers becoming victims in a collective massive theft ring taking place right now. As we speak, FTP players are having money stolen from them due to some security breach or criminal activity that has taken place by people either at or associated with FTP.

It just makes good business sense for FTP to help get to the bottom of this. Lets face it... if FTP does nothing, what makes you think this will not happen again with one of their 3rd party partners. Just ignoring this is not the solution and will cause more and more theft of poker players money being stolen from their bank accounts

Agreed, it IS felony robbery, however FT is offshore and there is no U.S. govt. body that can force them to make this right. 2+2ers are a large and forceful part of the online poker world and if we as a group use our monetary clout we can force FT to take the responsibility for this which is rightfully theirs.

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

In addition to the monetary pressure you mention Space, - public awareness throughout the Poker Community about what is going on could also put pressure on FTP to step forward and doing what is right in getting to the bottom of this felony they are indirectly involved in.

Again if this was Ultimate Bet and not FTP, this would be making sooo much more bigger news. But the reality is that felony theft is felony theft.... the robbery that occurred at UB (and cover up afterwards) is a crime. The felony robbery taken place to soooo many FTP players/customers is also a major crime. And although not a cover up like UB , FTP silence is very alarming as when I gave my bank account info, I gave it only to FTP under the pretense it was secured and something like this could and would not happen..... The poker community needs to not only demand answers, but assurances and security measures on how this will not happen again to FTP players/customers.

Unless FTP steps forward with some details, the entire poker community needs to demand answers, not just those of us that have been victims of this ongoing crime. And this story/issue/felony crime needs to become the big story that it is in the entire poker world.

Then , just maybe then... FTP will step forward and give some answers and actions plans to prevent such from occurring again.

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

Good points Steve. If this was UB, there wouldve been WWIII.

I posted in other thread....I was hit the 1st 2 times (jan and feb), but somehow avoided this 3rd instance. The other 2 times (thx to 2+2), I called my bank and the chg was immediately credited the next day. Looks like they blocked future transactions from these scumbags.

Im sure it was no accident naming the chg "PMI". When I saw this (being a homeowner), I thought it had something to do with it. Imagine how many people are getting hit with this chg and have no idea.

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

When I posted in this thread earlier to be included in the list of people that have been effected I was referring to two previous encounters with PMI. I didn't have access to my checking account at that time so wasn't sure if I got hit again, and sure enough I just checked it before getting home and noticed that ive been hit once again.

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

Hello, "PMI" has also made three unauthorized withdrawls from my bank account, one each in Jan, Feb, and March. I play as "Honey Nutz" on FTP.

I did notice the charges in Jan & Feb, and I know this sounds stupid, but I didn't do anything about it because I suspected that it was related to online poker, and I didn't want to attract the wrong kind of attention to my activities.

I've read the discussion on here about the need to draw attention to FTP's complete & total disregard for the security of their customer's banking info. My question is, who can we contact? It seems that it wouldn't do any good to contact American business entities such as the BBB? What about spreading the word on Facebook? It seems to me like we need to make the general public aware of this, as opposed to just those poker players who participate in forums like this one. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

You could contact FTP, but their answer is, "We didn't initiate the charge, so go screw."

The right answer is that someone needs to take PMI to task. Wherever they are, whoever they are, someone needs to call their state AG office and explain what they're doing.

This is true and very irresponsible.

If they've severed ties with this processor and they know this is happening, they need to notify their customer base and advise closure of checking accounts.

When the initial wave of fraudulent charges went through, the excuse was a 'computer error'. But now we've seen them do this 2 and 3 times and even under a different name now.

Here's a non-2+2 thread full of complaints where others had their pockets picked by this rogue company:

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

Here's Full Tilt's email response to customers that are being stolen from by their processor:

Thank you for contacting us.

We can confirm that
Full Tilt Poker did not initiate or authorize the processing of this transaction. For further details on this charge, please contact the processor in question PMI 8888758035

As this charge did not originate from Full Tilt
Poker, we also recommend contacting your financial institution should you wish to pursue the matter further.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Thank you for your patience. If there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to email us.

Regards,

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

From what business entity (FTP) did this payment processor get our banking info from so that they could felony steal from us and soooo many other clueless folks that this is and continues to happen too ?

You know very well that FTP has information about this current or former business partner of theirs that is stealing from FTP customers/players. I am confident that an internal investigation has taken place and FTP is choosing not to release the findings.

Who is to say that a FTP employee or even certain level of mgmt is not in on this somehow (I am not saying this is the case - but how would any of us know with their silence... When money is involved, anything is possible.

Again, FTP Senior mgmt is aware that their players/customers are being stolen from. I am sure they have done an investigation on what is happening - I am sure they have information that they are choosing NOT to share with their customers.

They rather keep their findings quiet then to ALERT their customer base that felony robbery is taken place and that all FTP players should be checking thier bank accounts.

Again, if this was UB this would be spreading all over the poker wires and mainstream outlets. I am sorry but NOW is the time to not only start demanding answers but if FTP mgmt is not responding and sweeping this under the carpet, then it is time to start directly pressuring the pro's associated with FTP so that they can feel some heat and possible help with FTP mgmt responding.

If FTP is not going to do anything about one of thier partners or employees/mgmt, then word needs to get out (like with UB) that FTP is not an honest company to do business with... and in fact you stand a very good chance of being stolen from when playing on their site through this sort of felony robbery happening as a result of information customers/players have given them being used to commit the crime.

What makes anyone think this is fixed and will not happen again on FTP. Or better yet... what OTHER SECURITY LEAKS does FTP has that we are not even aware of that could lead to even more stolen funds in a different manner... FTP is part of the blame/problem here. And could very well have an insider (employee/mgmt) directly involved with the rogue payment processor.

All of this needs to be answered and FTP Pro's pressured (this helps bring out social awareness to the issue much quicker.. i do not expect any Pro to help out here - but it does get media coverage much quicker to the crime that is happening if big name folks are being asked what is going on with their company.

If FT ever applies for a license to operate in the US, everyone in this thread should submit testimony to the appropriate regulators based on how this is resolved. Tell FT if you aren't reimbursed your next contact is going to be to your state representation and the DOJ.

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

Hey brand new here as a poster, but was hit by PMI in January and February as well for $100 each. Thought initially this was legit because I knew FTP never took money out of account for deposits I made all the way back in November 2010 and was able to match these up. But now was hit again on March 31st for $100, which I couldn't match up anymore so I thought I look them up and ended up here, so I guess the withdrawals weren't legit. Tried to call them, but just keeps ringing. Will try again during the week and otherwise at least try to dispute February and March as I guess January's deadline is passed. This sucks big time.

I would like to know if anybody has any recent legitimate transactions through PMI- in other words, if Full Tilt Poker is still using this processor?

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

such a scummy ****ing site

my friend had a couple play money accounts before he knew it was a no/no (years ago), they banned every account that had played on his IP. then they told him to send in his bank info and things would get cleared up. after that, they demanded the bank info for the half dozen + accounts, without even saying the names which they belonged to. needless to say, he was SOL and had handed over very sensitive information.

site should rot in hell.

put this thread in NVG and let the flames burn.

FTP Doug/Sean, you need to get Itt and address this.

This is likely affecting recreational players alot more than the regs, and is something that will drive them off your site.

Re: FTP's Rogue Payment Processor PMI is back again! Double-Charged? Check your statements!

Hey all, brand new member here also a US FTP player. Add me to the list, I am "gurlrocker" on FTP site. I was charged $25 from my checking account on 3/31/11 which I did not authorize. Called the bank, they gave me a phone number for PMI, of course no answer. I am disputing the charge with my bank at this time.

I emailed FTP and questioned the charge and this was their response:

Thank you for contacting us.

We can confirm that Full Tilt Poker did not initiate or authorize the processing of this transaction. For further details on this charge, please contact the processor in question PMI.

As this charge did not originate from Full Tilt Poker, we also recommend contacting your financial institution should you wish to pursue the matter further.

If there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We're always here to help.

Regards,

Well, if they didn't authorize the charge then who did?? Sure as hell wasn't me. I am furious. I work hard for my money and I'm being ripped off!!!
