This is legit.

The mail I received was sent from a mail server with an address of 209.47.206.49 (DNS PTR points to TOR-HDMAIL00.fulltiltpoker.com)

If you do an A record forward DNS lookup for tor-hdmail00.fulltiltpoker.com, it does indeed map back to that IP. Anyone can spoof the From: of the mail header, but no one out there is capable of putting bogus entries in fulltiltpoker.com's DNS zone file.

This is also the same mail server that I've gotten plenty of Full Tilt's tips and other crap from.

What this means is this email absolutely for certain came from Full Tilt.

This is a very good move on their part. When someone goes to Stars they already get benefits from their VIP club, and if you play enough you essentially get rakeback. Someone who already created a FTP account and finds out they can't get rakeback should have no reason to play at FTP imo and go to Stars instead. This now levels out the field somewhat.

this is legit. if you read FTPDoug's update thread he mentions that this program is in the betatest phase for a select few.

So it's not a scam? Maybe they want you to give them your Full Tilt name, then set up an account with their website, likely using the same password you use on your Full Tilt account and bam, they have your login info.

I am amazed though that a lot of people are 'trying' to convince themselves that this is legit.
Oops.

So... you guys haven't had rakeback ever and you can't wait one more day or two for FTP Support to respond to your E-mails? Have some patience, especially if the affiliate is asking you to break a rule that FTP is well known for strictly enforcing.

The title of this thread is perfect and is one of the most discussed issues. It was posted about 16 hours ago, has over 5000 views and over 100 posts. Yet, no FTP rep has thought it a good idea to take part in the discussion. Someone else has had to post a link to a 1-liner.

WTF if wrong with FTP support issues? Do they never learn or do they just not care?

Because of this thread, I can see some people trying to pull off a scam like the one you're mentioning = People w/existing accounts + no rakeback will get sent PMs or emails directing them to a site. Site operators hope you use the same password and then they do chipdumping or whatever. Something to look out for.

I received this email two months ago. I started playing in January, got my first rakeback payment around 5th of February. It's not a scam lol altough I was a bit sceptical first and it took a long time to get any answers from ftp support or rakebackpros support.

Of course I didn't get anything on it (didn't expect to, account been unused for almost 2 years) but sad thing is, I dreamed last night I got an email offering it to me. Then this morning took some time for me to remember if it was real or a dream. How sad is that?

Ok, so I got this email also. Looks like I will be leaving Stars.

Anyhow, do I need to create a new account or can I use my existing account? Not really clear on the signup process.

I think you just fill out their form with your existing account info.

Lol.

Doesn't the influx of people this will bring to FTP who are multitabling grinders mean if your on stars/eurositeswithrb, then it would be a lot better to stay there than move?

Yeah it was sooooooooooooo suspect

I mean it's been mentioned as a possibility before and came from what has been proven to be a legitimate domain. But obviously you've got this sixth sense or something.

Played over 100k hands there in the last few months and did not get the email

Wonder if you have to stop playing for them to include you in the group?

some people posted they got the email yesterday, even though they hadn't stopped playing.

btw, i'd be surprised if anyone whose account is already linked to an affiliate got the email, regardless of whether they actually receive rb.
