Doug,

If FTP's customer service reps were advised not to answer our questions, then why didn't they just tell us that last week! Don't just ignore our emails man; that is so ****ing shady. Pointless communication is 100X better than no communication at all.

You are our only line of reassurance right now. You need to step it up and start releasing new info every time you are cleared to do so.

Silence is the worst thing in the world, so the update of FT reaffirming that they owe us is great. Even though I would like to get my money now but can't I do love the update. So thank you FT and Doug for reaffirming that your are going to pay us.
The 1ST MOST IMPORTANT THING of course, is typing in all caps.

players are going to get assraped on medals and probably FTPs as well.

Medals have more value the more you have. Bonus bought with 3000 medals is better value than the bonus bought with 500 medals. Of course they'll give everyone the same conversion rate so it will be the conversion rate of the 1000 medal bonus and people with 3000+ medals will have to eat it.

Please Doug have them do a tiered conversion depending on how many medals someone has.

+1. This is what I expect the conversion rate will be. I will be pleasantly surprised if its .005 per FTP and pissed if it's .003 per FTP.

Thanks Doug. The update is nice. I feel a lot better about things, even if specifics aren't available yet. Even "we're working on it and we'll know more next week" is a ton better than not knowing anything. Thanks for understanding that we're stressed and playing sucky live poker, instead of on FT enjoying the games we're used to playing. I'll e-mail support about the Take2; wish I had logged in 1st thing in the morning and taken care of it.

- There are a couple of issues here. One is for US players getting nothing back except for a generic template explaining the current situation (or, worse, nothing at all). This was the advice given to support by our legal team, so their hands were tied. We're trying to get more clarity here as soon as possible as to what exactly they can and can't say (as opposed to the current "don't say anything" approach) so that support can be more helpful to US players. I do apologize for the length of silence coming from Full Tilt. It's a sensitive situation and I think we probably were a bit overly cautious here.
While generic, vague responses may be prudent in light of the indictments, to ignore customers for any length of time is simply bad business and bad advice.

Funny how pissed off people are. FT is doing way better than most of us expected.

Remember Neteller? What if Stars hadn't been involved in this? FT would look brilliant right about now.

Anyway. There was no news here, but there was at least a minor effort at damage control, which strikes me as good news in & of itself.

I'm goin' to bed.

At a minimum, unused IM freeroll tickets should be converted to their medal equivalent, and then whatever happens with the medals can happen from there. Don't shaft me out of 150-200 medals worth of value simply because I didn't convert them.

Non-IM freeroll tickets you can argue don't have a value, but the IM freeroll tickets DO HAVE A VALUE, if only the medal value.

  • FTP points (as if converted to tourney tickets?)
- We're still looking into this one. It's unclear what we can do with FTPs, but they definitely won't just "go away."
  • IM medals (as if converted to tourney tickets?)
- We're still looking into this as well. My guess is they will be converted to FTPs once we determine what will be done with FTPs.
Same boat as Stars here, so a non-answer is expected.

Thanks for the update from the lawyers Doug.

pretty disappointed theres no info on moneybookers or bank wires. im a euro and have no way of cashing out my $$$, and its getting pretty damn annoying.

PS. its so mindblowingly ******ed to just ignore emails from us players. god. just issue a statement and reply to emails and say that you cant make any comments as per advice from lawyers. thats a million times better than just ignoring everyone!

- I needed to get a very official answer on this one as well:

"Yes. But your existing account and balance will not yet be available on logging in. You will be required to provide sufficient proof of relocation, including your photo identification and proof of residency at your new address. You can then use non-US funds to play from outside the US. And, after return of your US funds, you will be able to use those funds as well from outside the US."

I know that's still a bit fuzzy, sorry about that. We'll work on clearing up all the details as soon as possible.
So does this mean when I move, I can make a deposit, but you will have to keep my new deposit separate from my old balance.. ? That's weird, but I guess as long as there is a way for me to see the 2 different balances on my account.. Sounds like more waiting and BS to go through.. Sure would be nice to be able to talk to someone who could explain this to me "soon" because I am ready to go as soon as I know 100% that I can play, I would hate to pay all of the money to move and fly, then have to go through a 4 week pain in the butt to get show my proof of address and get my account cleared, that's a lot of money to waste and not be able to make any money in the process...

I think this update is better then we were hoping for, although we don't have anything I am feeling good that we will have our funds in less then a month with bonuses, 2 weeks ago i would have been fine getting my money without the several thousand in bonuses i deserved. Still we will wait and see.

With FT leaving the US market combined the DOJ willingly letting them cashout it is a completely different situation and should be much easier than the neteller fiasco.

Nice to see that you guys are still alive, I was afraid you guys were all in jail or something.
A bunch of good news imo!
I just wish I had converted my ftp into tourney tickets when I had the possibility to do so, the "unclear" statement about the points is pretty scary to me...
Hopefully we'll get instructions on how to withdraw early next week.

My experience in working with companies who are downsizing or going bankrupt gives me basis to write what i'm about to write.

From what FTPDOUG has said, as well as their non response (up until this point), I gather that FTP is not in good shape at all. Saying "Don't worry we will have answers next week" translates to "We don't have the money and need to buy more time to figure out the strategy, or an exit plan"

If they had plans on paying people they would give more detail as to what the actual holdup is.

The news next week will be that they are "close" to finalizing the details. Then a few weeks after that you will hear that it could be months... Then they just disappear. This is how bankruptcies work.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

PS: I don't see any problem spectating at this point. Full tilt has lost a huge chunk of their customer base already. It can't get much worse for them.
