did i miss something?
People haven't been happy as they haven't received them in two weeks. It looks like they are all flowing through, but Full Tilt communicated poorly and gave no indication of when funds would be received (apart from telling people they would get them in 12-24 hours, and then failing to provide them).
Nobody really knows if these companies have sufficient funds to pay people. PokerStars demonstrated that they did by paying non-US players in an impressively timely fashion, and then allowing US players to cash out shortly afterwards.
Full Tilt did not do this, but with the stream of cash outs now flowing to non-US players, and hopefully a solution forthcoming for the Americans by the end of the week, things appear better than they might have been. A company having issues paying people is not a good sign - they may have valid reasons in this case, but I'd rather be prudent.
I don't think anyone had any insider info that FTP were busto. However, this was a wake up call for everyone (myself included) that you shouldn't really keep more funds on poker sites than you need to. If you want to leave a substantial sum on there, go ahead. Poker sites do go bust, and players have lost money as a result (e.g. Microgaming, and quite possibly Cereus in the next few weeks). If you don't want to protect yourself, don't bother, but don't criticise others for doing so.
