Of course they're not "bankrupt", it's just an "accounting issue." This still means they haven't recovered enough bank accounts to pay every customer yet. I'm not impressed whatsoever.

I am fairly happy with this. This update is 1 MILLION times better than the frightening silence from before.

For me the priority is getting the money in my hands by at least 2 weeks before the WSOP starts. Thanks FTPDoug

nice work Doug.

never easy being stuck between a rock (legal advice) and a hard place (understandably irate US poker players)

I'm sure people will be looking forward to the update early next week.

Not having even an estimated timeline on cashouts at this point is infuriating. Really?

(Directing this @ FTP, not Doug)

No worries bro, next week they'll announce that they'll be able to announce a timeline soon.

This seems fairly reassuring. I think this is all people really needed, just communication. When you're chasing someone for money and get total silence, it's is always a scary thing. Thank you Doug, i'm sure your efforts are appreciated by the most affected.

I too appreciate an update even if it was just "We don't have enough information at this time but we're looking into it etc."

Being told to wait is better than being completely ignored, and people were clamoring for any sort of response that shows people have been checking these forums and they got it.

I feel positive. Talking about restoring people's iron man status means they still hope to be operating in the us

I bought a useless trinket on the 16th, is that going to end up with the FTPs being credited back to me?

I think this was a good response. 2 main issues were "semi"-answered:

1. FTP is not broke and they are working diligently in setting up processors and putting U.S. funds into a specified account. Last time they had double accounting issues, which looks like their trying to avoid again (thus, taking longer).

2. You can move to another country and play on FTP! Yes, you won't be able to access your prior account but thats the worst of our worries.

All and all, our funds will be cashed soon and those who enjoy playing on FTP can do so if they relocate. This was self assuring imo, hope Doug can keep us up to date with withdrawals though. It's an extremely pressing matter that many of us are patiently waiting to be resolved, as those funds are heavily relied on.

I truly believe that any notion that they will be held in our accounts until americans can play again, is simply a ploy by FTP to skip out on having to give cash value for them. The management must realize that a lot of players are likely never coming back.

Doug : How come players in the US are not allowed to play freerolls?

Might be a legal issue there, I don't think stars even lets US players buy anything out of their store.

Letting us purchase our own tickets that we can trade for cash would be best though.

I know we're all frustrated and want our money back but accusing FTP Doug of not doing his best will not expedite this process. Yes FT can (and should) do a better job of keeping us in the loop, but if their position is to not say anything until they definitively know what's going to happen then all we can do is wait.

The last week has been hella stressful on us all, at least now we know that we'll have a better idea by early next week so there is light at the end of this tunnel.
