Because if they just did nothing, there would be no need for them to have jobs.
A more serious answer as well would be that people not in the development profession have grand ideas for their program and don't understand the ramifications of how what they ask for can affect the program.
For all we know, Full Tilt was never designed to be able to handle 12-16+ tables at a time in its initial concept phase which means everyone is screwed that multitables, each and every update.
I just know from a professional standpoint of having programs with close to 1,000,000 lines of code how difficult it can be sometimes...
EDIT: It makes me wonder how the program actually detects tables. If its an X-Y coordinate thing, which would definitely cause problems for stacked tables.. it probably is because I couldn't see third party programs or HUDs working without some sort of local detection. Its an interesting problem.
Could the 24 tablers simply buy a couple more monitors so they can stretch out the tables, or does that ruin the flow of multitabling?
