That's one of the main reasons that I like them. I've noticed that in a lot of tournaments of 6+ hours, both live and online, players fade or get grumpy after a while.

I've played live tournaments where players actually have said out loud that they were tired, they complained about having to get up for work in the morning etc. Best tells ever!

I sometimes see that in online chat as well. I adjust to impatient and tired players by betting small to make the tournament last longer. I've seen players make bad shoves just to finish a tournament.

I'm recovering from both Shingles and RSI lol. I can't spend the kind of time I'd like to at the screen to play a tournament that long. That's why I, myself, was grumpy about them the other day. At 100%, at this point, I think I'd play a few here and there. I still prefer the cash games more currently.

Re: Ex-Official Winning Poker Network (ACR, BCP, True) Discussion Thread

Quite strange: I was sitting at a table, mid session, and I was just replaced by the next player on the waiting list. Out of nowhere. I wasn't sitting out and had just finished a hand. Four 80%+ beats in the same hour yesterday and now this. It's these kinds of things that draw such suspicion to this network.

edit: Same player that replaced me replaced other players the same way on other tables. Basically, he didn't have to wait at all and just replaced someone at each table he joined the "waiting list" for. Swaz715.

See I'm just a casual tourney player, they are fun if they are done in about 4 hours or so. Unless it's a big tourney I don't see the point in putting in that many hours when I'm most likely just gonna bust our or min cash. I'm sure a lot of other casual tourney players feel the same.

Back in the day I used to play them pretty frequently when I got the urge to. I've basically played 0 tourneys on this network with any significant buy in just cuz sitting at the computer for 8 hours makes playing russian roulette look like an exotic vacation.

Dude that's just variance and a waiting list. Welcome to poker.

I'm not really worried about the variance. My mental game needs tons of work but I don't really even think twice about beats at the tables anymore. Not when I'm getting the money in good. The waiting list, however, is another story. I was at my table, not sitting out, and the second the guy joined the waiting list I was replaced. Not a huge deal but I've never seen that happen before and he replaced other players at other tables, too. Let's see if it happens to anyone else at higher stakes today.

My question is what has happened in the last week? Since last Thursday (2/14/2019), at least 80% of the players at the tables I play are people I have never seen before.

And from 2 through 25NL I'm not seeing anything that resembles a bot.

I know that back in the day there was no way to clear a reload bonus playing micros. Has anything changed? Have they scaled the system at all?

I don't mind long tournaments. In fact the longer the better IMO.

It's the Multi-Hour Re-Entry's that crush me.
Play for 2,3, 4, or 5 hours running good & playing smart and then here comes the herd of people buying in close to the bubble.
Sometimes buying in for just a hand full of Blinds and Shoving looking for double ups.

I stopped playing tournaments on Winning. Just not worth the aggravation. Which is too bad because I love tournaments & used to play nothing but tournaments years ago.

Not sure why short stacks coming in and shoving is a bad thing... I personally love it (both as a deeper stack and as the rebuyer)

Ok, so I'm not the only one.. I also lost some serious ev because of the bug. But this bug didn't exist for me last year.

Forgot about that sound bug.. also happens regularly.. but that one I have for long time already.

Hey, I've looked around and can't find an answer. Is there any way to disable that annoying yellow popup showing tournaments in late reg that blocks half the effing table when you're in a hand? Thanks in advance.

No way to turn off messages we send manually no but as annoying as they are for some players. It saves us thousands and thousands a month. I know they are a pain but we need them.

I will let you into a little secret. New software is right around the corner.

I think you can effectively get rid of them via modding by reducing TableMessagePadding to 0 in the fname file or whatever, but wait for new software unless you're familiar with modding.

Venom Step tickets are good for the venom only. This is why they have that added 1 cent amount to their values.

They don't care. I been reporting the same 2 bots at plo for months. Plo and these 2 players need have a losing session. Winning 22bb/100 hands innthebhands I have played with them. And vpip pfr 3bet, fold to 3bet etc is almost exactly same in both of them.
