i spent two weeks working with support trying to get my client to work after the upgrade. then, randomly, one of the support agents asked if I was using Windows 7. i said "yes" and he told me that it won't work on Windows 7. I then navigated to the page on their website where it showed supported OS and it literally says "Windows 7"

i then downloaded the client on a Windows 10 machine and it worked immediately. wtf.

Because support has no clue what they are talking about. Instead of fixing it, they claim it doesn't run on windows 7. Yes people still use windows 7 because they either don't want to buy win10 or hate it like myself. I don't want an app, i want a OS.

If they don't want to make it work on other OS, then it gives me another reason not to come back.

Windows 7 was released 10 years ago. Windows 10 was released 4 years ago. It's probably time to update.

I don't blame WPN for not wanting to support for Windows 7. Although, it is ****ed up for them to advertise that it does work on Windows 7 if it doesn't. So I can understand the frustration there.

I thought the same thing when I first saw someone complaining about this with another poker room. But I was surprised to discover that apparently ~40% of Windows users are still using Windows 7. Windows 10 actually only surpassed Windows 7 in popularity 6 months ago.

Thanks wolfbook, this suggestion might flesh out a lot of the remaining bugs/problems. The update was poorly tested on any machine, Win 7 was probably an afterthought for WPN or no thought at all.

I run a Win 10 laptop and have had almost none of the bugs some have experienced. That was when I was playing, I stopped when it was clear WPN would rather have their staff partying at The Cage than get people their rb/rewards.

Should people be mad at their software development team or ACR himself for releasing a product in a very premature beta phase? I honestly don't know.

This is definitely on WPN management.

They chose the dev team, they chose when to rollout the software, they chose to keep offering games on a bad software, they chose not to make sure the software was 100% ready before rollout, etc.

Sure, the dev team could have said it was good to go, but management is responsible for making sure it really is ready to go.

Windows 10 is phenomenal. And it really doesn’t take that much to get used to it.

I think a lot of people have a Windows upgrade fear after the debacle that was Windows 8.

Honestly the only reason I upgraded to Win 10 this year was because I bought a new computer. Too lazy and never knew the benefits until I tried it

FYI Blitz is showing in the Lobby but according to support you should not attempt playing it until tomorrow afternoon. I tried to buy in and got money stuck on the table,support did take care of it right away FWIW.
