I disagree. There are some long running BOTS of course.
But most IMO are short term:
1) to take advantage of first time deposit promotions
2) avoid detection.
Ten years ago I would have Hundreds of Players with Thousands of HH in my HEM2 Database.
These days It is much Rarer. In fact opposite is true, my HEM has Hundreds of Screen-Names with less then a hundred hands.
If you have HEM or PT take a look at opponent list. If you have a large HH Database look and see just how many players you have played with that have very few Hands and never come across that Player again.
I can almost guarantee that the number of players on your list with less then 100 hands is More Players then you have with greater then 100 hands.
I lurk a lot in the SNG's. Which is smaller crowd then Tournaments and Cash.
Back in the Day I would sit at a table and Rare that I did not have HH's on every player (sometimes Thousands of Hands)
These Days Rare that I have HH on any Player at a SNG.
