Aren't they part of the Sky tv network in the UK, which itself is backed by Fox/Rupert Murdoch's group?

Wouldn't worry about playing there if so tbh.

It's part of the Sky TV network in the UK as posted above. But having played there, the software is absolutely atrocious. It's based on flash and they have only just released a download client. Play there by all means, it's safe and full of fish but the software just tilts me to ****.

Same problem with the software from my experience, didn't hang around enough to sample the level of play but I would predict a necessity of a mental deficiency to play on it for more than 10 minutes, or the patience of a saint!

I believe they have a website, the address is along the lines of www.skypoker.com

Meanwhile, a ten seconds hard work with the search function throws up the following threads

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...-poker-972467/
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...-poker-850233/
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...rth-go-904159/

Their forum rep is Sky_Poker

Yeah, smartass, none of your links answered my questions and is no one allowed to ask a question on the forum now or what? And obviously i did not visit their forums because i desire objectivity. I thank you very much for your 10 secs of hard work on my questions which you apparently have not read, with the exception of the title, but i think you should spend your time getting your head out of your ass instead.

Now excuse me while i thank others who are geniunely helpful.

Thanks for telling me the software is crap but i guess i could live with it (c'mon, it's a poker site, it can't be that bad) if free monies are involved. I could live with plenty of fish as well. But have anyone of you tried cashing out? Care to tell me your experience? I certainly don't want to build a bankroll and then realize i cant fvcking cash out.

Don't worry about withdrawing, chances are if you're depending on no deposit bonuses, you're never going to be cashing out anyway.

Go play zynga poker, it's free & fun for everyone.

to ban or not to ban, that is the question.....

You're a bit fronty for your first day on the forums (on this particular account?)

Of course people have cashed out from Sky. The software may not be to everyone's liking, but they aren't going to tarnish the whole Sky name for the sake of stealing the cash in their poker site, which is a piffling amount in comparison to the overall value of the Sky brand.

Meanwhile, for your other questions, they have a rep here who you can ask, they have forums where you can ask, and they have an online chat facility where you can ask. I don't really know what else you need for answers to what are factual questions.

i play sit and go's on Skypoker, cashing out with debit card is fine, takes three days. The software and instant play client isnt great but if you are half-decent at poker then the fact that you will be winning on the site should make you feel better about that.

Oh, so you're threatening me with a ban here because i said something you don't like? How classic. Go ahead, Mr. Draconian and the other douche, if that boosts the self-esteem you can only obtain from the internet.
BTW, i have already asked the rep about Skypoker before you ever told me he existed. Looks like my 10 secs of hard work on the forum has better results than yours.

I thought the same too... but debit card? Um, i'm gonna have to reconsider.

Wow, someone's got a chip on their shoulder.

Of course you can ask questions, but it probably makes sense to ask them in an existing thread rather than start a new one, especially when the most recent one was pretty active and the site rep was participating in it. And of course no one knows if you've seen the other threads, since you didn't mention them in your OP.

You'll probably have a lot more luck getting help around here if you don't instantly respond to some mild sarcasm with name-calling. And we have a profanity filter for a reason.

Why would anyone want to offer help to a person with the attitude of this OP?

I have replied to the e-Mail from "tehbloke".

If anyone has any further questions as to skypoker.com, please fire away, & I'll field them as objectively as I'm able.

My job (or one of several) is to promote the site, so I can't guarantee 100% objectivity, but I don't do porkies, not for them, or anyone else.

Deposit (& withdrawal) options include Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, Solo, Maestro, Visa Delta, Laser, Neteller, Moneybookers, & Paypal.

Inevitably, as an Online Poker room, it gets a few stones lobbed it's way as to being less than ideal, that goes with the territory, but I'm not aware of anyone ever having had problems withdrawing, unless they were self-inflicted.

Play is in £, not $$'s, please note.

I sent Sky and email asking about changes to tournament structures such as introducing antes and getting rid of fees for rebuys/addons during rebuy tournaments. I got a standard reeply so I was wondering if you have any information on whether anything was in the works?

"biggie" is relative, of course, but it's big by Sky Poker standards, & with an £8,000 Guarantee, there will be a handy amount up top.

It starts at 8pm, & will be televised on Channel 865 from 8pm, &, I think, on Sky Sports from 10pm.

Only 21 runners as at Noon today, but it will be capped at 60, come what may, so that it finishes within the tv tx time. It needs 40 to cover the Guarantee.
