NP and I don't know why they limit it to 10 cards either... Surely if it encourages people to play more (and the EV they have to give is << what they get in rake) it would be a good thing to allow infinite cards (rather than have them decide to stop after 150 points)?

not reading the t&c for a promo especially on party is pretty stupid

i am sure juk and many others here remember a promo from couple of years ago where (iirc) you had to play 160 hours in a month after which you got "100% rakeback for 80hours" i think was the punch line

but in the t&c they said people would get an average of 33% from the whole 240 hours. some (many?) ppl didnt read the t&c and were 1-tabling the smallest games at the time for 160 hours and then playing 80h 16-tabling and grinding rake only to find out they wouldnt get 100% rakeback for those hours

The promo was hugely misleading and since then party hasnt run a promo that way (one thing they actually learnt from us complaining at 2+2). though if everyone read the t&c there wouldnt have been any confusion. it was stated there very clearly

I emailed Party today to complain about ratholing. I politely asked if they'd tell me exactly what the required time is set to before a schmuck can rejoin table with less than he left. Then I asked if they'd consider increasing the time.

Party rep, said they would forward my request to increase the time. However, they refused to tell me the current time stating that divulging it could lead to it's abuse *eyeroll*

Most likely going to finish my bonus and leave Party for the following reasons:

1. low PLO traffic
2. same rat holing scum littering my tables daily (ez to tell when the player pool is so small). When there's only 4 tables running, I shouldn't have to deal with the same ratholer on the same table so frequently.
3. games play so slow, it's hard to put any decent volume in
4. software sucks:

I can't seem to filter out the 20bb tables in NLHE (when I'm desperate to add tables and no PLO running)

if I don't rebuy to max, there's no auto rebuy when you get stacked which sucks when means you miss hands

anyone else getting card and chip animation disabling itself all the time? Its probably something to do with the software thinking my pc is not running fast enough but why cant the software let me decide this for myself? (my pc is absolutely fine running party with animation on)

I used to get it turning off "display window's contents while moved" (or whatever it was called) all the time in XP. Since I've moved to Win7 though I've not had that problem anymore.

Well more "needed" than "need" actually, considering there's about 5 games running in the weekday afternoons now (used to be 30+ even a few months ago) and the evenings have more regs than a reg-convention in reg-land all hoping to eek out some rakeback (and it's only a matter of time before even they leave and evening volume will be lolbad too...).

(and it can't just be "holiday period related" now... we're almost mid-January... )

Are you talking about the Million Dollar Hand?

You earn a card for every 15 party points earned. You can goto the promo page and click on the card "Deal" whenever you have one. Once you have accumulated 5 consecutive cards to make a hand, you win a prize if you make a pair or better.

No need to constantly check the promo page. Your cards just accumulate until you goto "deal" them.

I've only won 2 one pair hands so far. Seen the popups of people winning straight flushes though.

Juk when are you going to join us at the cashgame tables? SNG's seems so 4 years ago . Up to what level can you play a decent number of tables at party nowadays?

I just noticed PTR tracks hands from anonymous tables, thats extremely disturbing tbh.

So, PTR users are basically able to see who they play on anonymous tables? Or is there some significant delay before new hands appear on PTR?

Oh man, just did some research on this.

Anyone else thinks it is completely irresponsible that Party has the "anonymous" tables running in their current state? (ie: not anonymous, at all)

Apart from that blunder I would also guess the anonymous tables have been a pretty big fail. They don't create more action for the reason namechanging doesn't. People don't play because it MIGHT be against someone they don't want to play.

Having the anonymous sessions logged by PTR is bad. But exposing nicknames of anonymous opponents within your own client is pretty ridiculous.

Seriously, these tables need to be taken off & i think people who got taken advantage of due to this bug have a pretty strong case for some compensation.

I am sure lots of fish know about PTR by now and would prefer to play anonymous. And fewer bumhunters/regs sit at these because they are afraid to play someone with half a brain. Sounds like a good situation to me? Well, at least i think it would be, if the tables actually worked.

Fwiw:
The fact that names of anonymous opponents are even sent to the client is absolutely terrible and a very bad sign regarding security @ party. Whoever implemented/designed it like this needs to be fired.

PTR only tracks about 84% of hands. I guess it depends on the level you play, but this is pretty bad for the promotion. Not that I take it seriously but imagine making a 7 card straight and not having the hand tracked.

Edit: Actually you can submit the hands if they miss it. Still the 1k in a day badge is more like 1200.

Can you add the player's country to the pop-up menu that is displayed when you right-click the player's name? Hovering just doesn't seem to work at all. Thanks.
