I asked VIP Palladium Support YEARS ago that the technical/software department should be informing other departments and customers about any upcoming downtime, but it took a new Head of Poker from PokerStars to finally make it so. Hopefully, Captain Canuck will continue to force the technical department to fix its many other long outstanding problems, such as disconnecting servers, horribly written laggy software, non-existent beta testing, insufficient quality assurance, etc.
