Figured we needed one of these.

Just installed the client and made an account but have not yet deposited. Not planning to play during the soft-trial.

The software is more modern and very different from WSOP PA and NJ. Some good additions like auto-time bank, customizable bet slider, and big blind chip view.

Seems like there is no local HH so HM/PT won't work. Game selection also is not a thing or at least not a typical lobby like other sites. You can open one game at a time from a menu where you choose your format/stake. Unless I'm missing some alternate lobby view. Will make game selection far more difficult.

I am just waiting for it to come to NV, supposed to be right after it goes live in Michigan.

Is there chat?

I'm on mobile, and it won't let me make a new username, so I can't even get in. Are you on mobile?

Lots of sites have working HM/PT without local HH. As long as it’s not against TOS they should be able to make it work. The only reason wsop NV/NJ/DE doesn’t allow it is bc of the Nevada law prohibiting them. Perhaps Wsop PA will ban them from the get go if they plan to merge the pools ASAP but maybe not.

Looks like they are taking $0.01 at every $0.18 like on the shared site. Does anyone know what the rakeback percent is for the welcome bonus?

We are still not really close to merging the pools yet. It will happen eventually. But give it a few months for the legal clarity to shake out AND for PA Gaming to actually allow it to happen AND for the other states to also approve PA to join their pool, etc.
I think early 2022 might be possible.

I read that Michigan is very likely to be linked up before the end of the year and that will motivate PA to do the same, but at least we should get Michigan this year.

Right I just meant they may preemptively ban HUDs/trackers in anticipation of that happening. Instead of allowing them for a short period and then having to force everyone to stop once they merge with NV.

I’m gonna take a look at the wsop.pa tos and see if there’s any mention of it.

Cash game rake is 10% higher than PokerStars PA.

Pretty close to that it appears.
1 cent for every $0.18 at WSOP compared with 1 cent for every $0.20 at Stars.

However, the maximum rake is the same at most stakes.
So a $100 or $200 pot at NL100 with 5 players at Stars and at WSOP will both be raked exactly the same: $3.00.

But you reach that max a little faster at WSOP.
So a pot of $54 at NL100 with 5 players will be raked $3 while at Stars it would not have reached the max and will still be raked $2.70.

NL100 pot of $36 at 5+ handed will be raked $2 at WSOP vs. $1.80 at Stars.

On NL50 it is even worse. The max rake for 5 or more players on WSOP is $2.75 compared with $2.50 for Stars. $54 pot on WSOP will be raked $2.75. But a $60+ pot on Stars will be raked $2.50.

Unfortunately, all those quarters in the various pots kind of add up. So any increase in rakeback via rewards/bonuses at WSOP is most likely only making up for the higher rake that they are charging in the first place. But I don't know what the rakeback percentage is for the WSOP deposit bonus.

Has anyone figured out how to link your Caesars Rewards card to WSOP Pa, to earn tier credits?

It says on this page https://www.wsop.com/caesars-rewards/?lang=en that you can do it and gives a link to this page https://www.wsop.com/rewards/trconnect/, but that page just tells you to link it. Doesn't say or give a way how.

No Hand Histories
No Huds
No Note taking or color coding of players feature
No heads up tables
No game selection possible (weird lobby)
Cartoony software aesthetics
No chat
Annoying throwables

First impressions are that its much worse than Stars and Party

Maybe they have basic features the 1st few days and then they add the other features toward the end of soft launch. Let's hope.

feels to me like a "rec friendly" biz model similar to Ignition/Bovada that basically strips everything down and makes it more difficult for the regs but also more annoying to all players

The best way to find out is check for comments about where the new software has already launched, Out of US, I am not sure where but its been running for awhile.

Yeah, something like this.
The game selection thing is odd. If there are 5 or 6 players at one stake then that means they have 2 tables of 2 or 3 players. Which is pretty odd. And also seems like an attempt to snag more rake by splitting up the pool.

6 players want to play at a 6-max table and the site divides them up into two different tables? Really?

Frustrating for anyone that wants to be a reg. And I can't imagine there are recreational players who are attracted to that.
