I 16 table, and I tile...I've tried cascading and I hate it. I feel like every time I have to think on a table, all my tables get backed up and I have to make 10 split second decisions to not start timing out. With tiles, I can still use the pre-move actions and can fold on other tables while thinking on another.

I do both. I tile FTP tables on one screen and cascade Stars tables on the other. Stars seems to work better in cascade mode then FTP.

I cascade SnGs and tile cash. I'd hate the thought of cascading cash.

i used to tile when i played 12-16 tables, now that i play 24 i cascade.

even though i have a 30"+20" dell setup, i find it hard to tile 24 tables, i get lost trying to find what tables the action is at sometimes. its a lot easier to just have it pop up at you. It also leaves a lot of room to have other things up (aim convos, veoh/youtube, calculator)

It does get frustrating though, i still misclick a lot, and finding and sitting down at tables are a btch. and like jmiller says, when yo have to think about a decision for more than 5 seconds while cascading, you are totally screwed.

tile; preferable b/c you can still observe action on all tables simultaneously

although the idea mentioned about cascading SNGs and tiling cash sounds pretty good

Yes, as opposed to cascade where the tables are staggered. With tables stacked, the buttons for all tables are in the exact same place which minimizes mouse movements.

No more than someone who tiles. Why would I?

Edit: Both Stars and FTP have an option to only have tables pop-up when your action on the current table is done. This feature is key to both cascading and stacking. Tables don't move to the stop of the stack until you're ready for them.

Didn't know that. Seems like stacking would be more practical than cascading with that feature.

Doesn't matter for me though since I'm not an MMOTAG (massively multitabling online TAG )

I also stack 15-20 tables on stars. harder to stack on FTP though so I usully just tile 4-8. I also find the tile at stars unbearable.

depends how many I'm playing... I like tiling a lot better because I like to observe action on hands after I've folded (especially to see which hands go to showdown and then look up the hh) but after you reach a certain point it just becomes impractical to do so.

Am I right in assuming you rarely see the results of a hand? If so, this would sure cure someone of results-oriented thinking.

How do you enable this? I'd be interested in stacking/cascading with this feature, just for sheer volume.

I went into Advanced Multitable Options in the Options menu, but all it has is a checkbox where you can have tables pop up or not when action's on you. I didn't see anything that seemed to indicate you could delay it popping up until you were done where you were at...
