Hi everybody,

i dont know if this is the right section to post this.
Anyway, I have opened a new account on Party where i have never played before with the idea of moving my bankroll there.
I went trought all the verification process sending all the documents needed.
I got verified.
While playing the 55$ bounty, chipleading, during the break before the final table starts i got blocked due to account security issues.
I was sit out for all the final table and got 5th.
My account had been unblocked the day after with apologies from the security team.

Now my question is.
Is this it?
They blocked my account after having complete the verification process during the final table of an important mtt (considering my bankroll) without any compensation?
I have of course wrote to the support team but they keep saying that they cant do anything and they have any right to block any account even during a final table. But why if they needed more informations (which was not the case) they just didnt ask before fully verify my account and allow me to play?
Does anybody went trought a similar issue in the past?

Thanks in advance for the answers

Shitty situation, i guess their tos allows them to do this, even though its obviously shady af and just really stupid. They could also wait till you finish the tournament, and meanwhile put a cashout block on your acc.

If you would be a high volume player threatning to quit the site would be an option, to maybe try to squeeze out some compensation. but as described i dont see much hope for you.

maybe try writing another email with long explanation or so.

What an under the belt punch from Party, very low level stuff indeed. You pretty much handcuffed here, they threat you badly yes, but you just need to move on. Like earlier poster said about writing email for their support with explanations might get you back something, but nowhere close what I would think you deserve here.

Contact someone who makes online poker reviews and give him any proof you got, don't give up without a fight.

Support just keep answering that they are allowed to do it so no compensation in any form will be provided. I don’t think there is much I can do. I will just avoid to play on party anymore.
Of course I have proof, screenshots, emails, chats etc. but I think at this point I just will not play there. It’s sad because I had a huge chiplead and in a progressive bounty this is absolutely a big thing. I feel disappointed also for the way the spoke to me via mail or chat, was very rude indeed. They just keep saying take it or leave it we don’t care.

This sounds quite incompetent on their part (assuming that you have not done anything that required an immediate block on your account, but that does not seem to be the case). Did they ever say what the "security issue" was about? This might be relevant.

It is definitely reasonable to ask for some compensation (I'm not saying it should definitely be granted; we don't know enough about the situation). When doing so, avoid the words "stealing", "fraud", "MY MONEY", "my lawyer".

If you have already calmly explained everything and they still say "no", ask about their complaints procedure.

I will write to Jeff Gross as I’m one of his sub on Twitch just to see if there is anything else to do.
Unfortunately as previously mentioned their tos allow them to do it. It was a huge punch under the belt for sure. It’s pretty sad. Support said they cannot compensate on the expected money I would have the chance to win which is understandable but still I was expecting something.

Basically they apologise for blocking the account the day after (I have of course email proof). It was my day 1 on Party. There was no issue. Documents were fine etc. I started a complaint procedure and the answer was still the same “ we cannot give any compensation based on the expected money you would have the possibility to win”. Which I agree but still there is so much they could do to settle the situation.

This isn't anything bad/underhand by party - it happens. I had the same thing happen on ladbrokes when I deposited and registered some tournaments and they froze my account. I instantly contact support and they were unable to unregister me (lol...)

They just left my account blinding out and refunded me after.

Anyway, what you need to do is get on party discord, partylive and use their chat or email and request to speak to someone higher up. Stuff like this should be handled properly but you just need to speak to someone who a) understands what happened and b) has power to do something about it.

The random people who answer emails or do the generic live support most likely won't understand and will see you came 5th and got paid so not see a problem.

I have found whoever runs the Party twitter account to be very helpful if you DM them. Make sure to say that you have already exhausted the support route and are not sure where to go from there.
