Bad publicity, it is basically the only thing you can do against them. And yeah, try casinomeister.

Int205,

Based on what you said in your first post, it seems to me that you are an honest person. You made the mistake of chip dumping $50 to your firend and therefore failed to comply with the terms and conditions (T&R) of the site. Nevertheless, the poker site ripping you off 36+k is not acceptable!

Go back to the fine print of the poker site. Read it. I was going to suggest that you consult a lawyer. Have a look at these terms and conditions below..

-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------

Rekevant Terms and Conditions of Betonline. http://www.betonline.com/terms-conditions

BetOnline.com has the right to terminate the agreement without prior notice if the client breaches any terms or conditions of this agreement.

7. Indemnity

The client shall defend, indemnify, and hold our affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and representatives harmless from and against any and all liabilities, losses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, resulting from, arising out of, or in any way connected with (a) any breach of warranty, representation, or agreement contained in this Agreement, (b) the performance of your duties and obligations under this Agreement, (c) your negligence or (d) any injury caused directly or indirectly by your negligent or intentional acts or omissions.

BetOnline.com will not be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages (or any loss of revenue, profits, or data) arising in connection with this Agreement, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Governing Law
This Agreement will be governed by the laws of Panama, without reference to rules governing choice of laws. Any action relating to this Agreement must be brought in Panama and you irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of its courts.

Highlighting is mine.

Seems like there is a new thread about betonline every other day.
They seem to target people with alot of $$ in their account and then try to find a reason to confiscate their money.

37000$ vs. 50$
is out of proportion since this was basicly a transfer. And if you had attained those funds illegaly ie hacking someones account I doubt you would have settled with a dump of 50$. Therefore it is obvious it is a mistake.
A small mistake that really hurt no one. A small mistake that should not cost $37k.

Ye, it is a tough situation. Look at it from the Betonline pov - basically if they do overturn their decision and re-open the account than they are saying that they will allow chip dumping on their site and if one player can do it then why not everybody else. Even if it is only $50, if hundreds of people start chip dumping it becomes a massive issue.

I guess nobody wants to try this on another site and see what happens?

GL man, I hope you get this sorted somehow.

i doubt anybody wants to play in that site again. he just want to get his legit funds back. given the circumstances, the room has no right to confiscate that kind of money.

No way people would think like this.

There is a belief that if it doesn't harm anyone then this is basically a warning offense. I would pretty much expect a transfer type dump (with legit funds) to just get a warning, told not to do it again, money moved back to original accounts.

The idea the site has any right to the money is joke. Honestly any site which takes that stance is just trying to steal player funds. There is no victim to refund the 37K too. Sites should never profit from security measures.

Yep, that makes sense - they should probably at least just let the player withdraw the funds and close the account if needed if no other instances of chip dumping can be found.

Good luck!
