I don't know if its a smart idea to fake anything.

Good luck finding a VPN service with a server in DE .

Drew,

I said in a post that I would bypass DE online poker because the liquidity would be too low, but damn I didn't think it would be this low. I logged on just to play a play money SNG to see how the software is and a single game just can't get going. Only 3 tables of ring games going. They need to start advertising.

Drew or anyone,

How is the liquidity at harringtongamingonline.com and http://onlinegaming.doverdowns.com/??

Is the liquidity worse than DE Park online?

Well back in the day all the online poker sites shared the same player pool, but some had more players than others. Am I right?

think of it like skins on the same network, the name, graphics, and rakeback might be different but you're playing against the exact same players on the exact same tables.

There are five full cash game tables going now and a couple of tournaments running.

The action should pick up as word gets out. It's only the first week. I'll give it time.

wow i checked a few times and the most i saw was 2-3.

I was surprised how everything seemed to be 1-2. Maybe only the casino folks know about it at this time that play 1-2 live.

I would think once words get out this will grow.

I played on saturday afternoon and there was only one guy sitting at 100NL and we played HU for a while until i had to go (I was at the mall).

So is this the future of poker in the USA? Every state only gets to play against people within the state? so we are never going to see the prize pools or abundance of cash games that existed prior to black friday ever again?

So basically for the high volume grinder staying in the states is still not an option even if it is legalized in all the states?

Is it fair to assume this

States are working to share liquidity across borders and even potentially internationally. How far aware this is is up for debate. Search around here and on google and you'll find a lot of commentary on the topic.

But no, I don't think this i the future of poker in the US.

I agree this is not the future of online poker in the US. We are in the infancy of legal online gambling.

Delaware and Nevada are also not the states to deliver an acceptable model for all states to follow. They need liquidity pacts to succeed.

If a state as large as NJ is successful in launching a complete online gambling package that makes the state of NJ the revenues that are projected, then the Federal Government will seriously consider overseeing the legality of gambling participation for all of the states that opt in. Pacts will be made prior to DC stepping in.

Passage of laws in NY, CA, MA and PA will hurry the process.

Whether the USA participates with the ROW online will be a long time coming. And it will only come when the Fed is running the show.

The US Companies that are involved in legalized online gambling still have to report and pay taxes on their profits to the Fed as well as the State. Just how government works in the good old US of A.

Now you can play real Delaware Park Poker face2face on the NEW real Pokercam tables.

You can see real players from all over the real world at specially selected real Delaware Park Poker tables.

It's real Poker, REAL People and REAL Cash.

Everybody who uses the word "real" more than 2 times in one sentence must be legit.

Either that's a copy error, or they are so insular they actually believe the 'real world' is only inside the borders of Delaware.

The states will eventually make a compact to increase the player pools. Wording in Delaware, Nevada, and New Jersey's regs is setup for this in the very near future.

I simply found that program and closed it and got past the error page. In as much as it's in my start up programs, it was running in the background.

Still, not being located in Delaware, I'm still unable to view tables which is all I was shooting for, but I did get past that. I can see players/tables but not able to view hands.

I do think that maybe 888 poker should have sourced that support in our country which would make communications much, much better. I have a similar problem with Dell.
Do you have any advice on how to remove the remote desktop software on a Windows 8 os? I turned it off in the connections but it still won't let me log in. Considering the level of technical support Delaware Park has provided I'm thinking this thread is my only option for help.

Well, yes, but it's kind of "small potatoes". They have a 25.00 with late registration now, with 15 players and 32 players registered for a micro free roll. All in all, with the lottery (non poker) people running it, it's not too bad. They did nothing to advertise and honestly, made a huge mistake not associating with the B&M management. But, they don't know it. Heck, they don't know poker. They're lottery guys. Five tables from .25/.50 to 1/2 running now. Sundays they have a $1500 guarantee $150.00 buy in.

I had the same problem and don't ask why it bothered me. I can't explain my actions sometimes. I don't live nor am I located now or was I then, in Delaware. It just pissed me off I guess. I called tech support with no real English speaking help offered to me. As it is, I uninstalled the remote program. It's not like I was using it anyway or couldn't reinstall it on line. The biggest problem was locating the thing. Once uninstalled it worked like it was supposed to... which means instead of telling me that my problem was a robot program, but now I was still screwed because I was out of state. Actually it was the right "legal" move as guys like me with friends in Delaware could easily use a friends computer to play from out of state. Ahh, it was my plan all along.

I'd really enjoy killing time right now playing a small $25.00 MTT from this hotel in Baton Rouge. I could go over to the local B&M joint but that would take too long.

I think NJ has plans to go it alone for the time being. I may be wrong, but it seems like I heard that NJ assumes they have a large enough population to support their own brand right now. Of course that will change. Also, NJ will surely have at least three different companies running software, which means in poker, 1/3 the player pool.

i don't see any reason why people wouldn't try all 3 sites, potentially playing across sites at the same time?

I am sure poker won't matter in NJ since they have casino games running as well.

I don't think the different sites will matter too much as there will likely just be one site that own 50-80% of the market for poker.

But it might cut it in 1/2.

You have to turn off the service or exe that's running it. Problem is that they won't tell you any details on what they're specifically looking for in terms of remote control software.

It could be something obvious such as the standard Remote Desktop Connection or having the Remote Assistance turned on. Or it could be something more complicated such as SnagIt as I saw earlier in the thread or in my case, some bandwidth monitoring software. In the latter 2 cases, I don't believe either of these apps have remote control capabilities (SnagIt, I'm not sure, but I know my bandwidth software did not). So it appears to me that either they are including additional checks beyond just remote control or they have a flawed detection algorithm.

If shutting off the obvious doesn't work, all I can say is good luck. It's trial and error to figure out what's causing it.
