So I just spent 350 coins playing on this - won nothing.

Then I get a popup saying "x is about to go for the jackpot, if he wins he';ll win half the remaining half will be split between all players who played the deal in the last 12 hours"

So i'm watching egging him, he spins....the tension is unberable....he...he....he HITS THE JACKPOT!!!

Now I wait for my funds to come to come rolling in - they arrive...a whopping 48 cent!

tl;dr: another horrible cash grab from stars

I won 87 cents and only spent like 50 coins. Yo. Fn addictive though.

It hit 2 times in like 10 minutes. The 48 cents you won was on the second hit. I am not sure if it is normal for it to hit that often or not. But it hitting so soon after a previous hit might be the reason for the 48 cents.

The pop up window to watch the spin needs some working on. Its very dark and it isn't clear enough what the player has hit.

The Jackpot looks like it's on 'fast forward' compared to how much slower it used to rise on Full Tilt.

Wonder how often the Jackpot will pay out, now that it's on Stars - maybe at least once a week? More than once a week? Possibly more than once a day?

Wonder if it'll be worth it to play twice a day still?

Although if Stars allows us to turn it off, will probably just do that Would like The Deal much more if we only had to check in once a day - it's too much to have to do it every 12hrs ...

Someone just hit it again - or at least is getting the chance to spin the spinner ... did he win $4k? That doesn't get taken out of the jackpot?

The payout for the jackpot share a couple of months ago was $160, lol @ 48c.

The jackpot share was the only thing making it +ev (over a certain jackpot size), probably worth ignoring now it's been fully Amaya'd.

Edit - the other prize payouts have been reduced too...

Having long ago given up playing on Full Tilt this is all new to me. How big do the jackpots get? At what point does it become +EV to play?

I can't play it, stars keeps crashing.

oh yeah, dat 48c is horrific lol - only played The Deal a couple of times with the last of my FTP (points), and wasn't fortunate enough to share in the Jackpot.

But it seemed like everybody's share of half the payout used to be around $20 pretty often? So 48c is *a lot* lower

Before the $160 paid out, the Jackpot hadn't been hit in something like 9 months, with how slow traffic had gotten. But guess people had worked out the variance for how often a Jackpot should be hit, and apparently it should have been due sometime around $250k, so people in the FTP thread were starting to play again? And then it didn't wind up hitting until after the Jackpot was over $500k, but guess once people start investing starscoins/ftp, then people had to keep playing to get their coins plus bonus back ...

Maybe the prize got so big because a lot of people stopped playing, so everybody's share was a lot bigger? Maybe less chance of that happening on Stars where traffic is so much higher?

Can someone summarize this very easily? How much starcoins do you have to wager until you are eligible to win something when there is a jackpot?

Also, so as long as you participate in this, there will be a winner like earlier?

Weren't there 3 winners earlier? So you have to play this every single 12 hours? But how much do you have to risk to be eligible for it?

7 StarsCoins, once every 12 hours.

okay so basically you wager just the minimum 7 starcoins which is one deal.

Then thats all.

And basically you are hoping you are that player that randomly gets selected like earlier today? Can someone here confirm there were 3 winners earlier? I saw the message either 2 or 3 times. So basically if you dont get chosen, it doesnt even matter at all then right when everyone else just got something like 50 cents? I mean how often do these things happen?

I played one hand of the deal. So basically just play one hand for 7 starcoins every 12 hours and that means you have a chance to be picked for that jackpot? Whats confusing is do the more deals you play, the higher the chance you get chosen?

Its confusing because in the information logo, it states play 70 starcoins instead and win more but most importantly... increase the chance of advancing to jackpot round. Can someone explain this? How do you know if you are in jackpot round? So if you just play one hand of the deal for 7 starcoins, that means you are still eligible but odds are extremely slim? Thus you have like one entry whereas someone who played 700 starcoins deals would have higher chance than you to be picked?

Hit a royal flush to get to the jackpot round. In the 70 coin version a straight flush also gets the jackpot round, hence a higher chance.

The 12 hour thing is for the shared prize, there are no rewards for playing more than once.

The game is definitely -ev unless the jackpot is big so probably best to ignore it most of the time.

There is a thread in nvg can a mod merge these?

From what i've calculated the deal becomes +EV when the jackpot is at about $500.700.

I think it's also +EV to play one 7pt game every 12 hours to participate in the jackpot sharing, but since the first jackpot share I got was about $0,50, we're talking a few dollars per day at best. (7 pts = $0.07, so if you win $0,50 once every 3,5 days it's profitable)

EDIT: sorry, it becomes profitable if the EV of the jackpot round hits that amount. So I'm guessing never.

I think it's safe to say there is literally like zero change stars bringing a game that's +ev to play.

Okay im still confused with this. So how much in total starcoins do you have to wager OR what is the minimum deal you need to get dealt before you qualify? I have played it once for 7 starcoins few times and don't believe i got any pair etc.

However, i still don't see myself qualified. Can you explain this? I basically want to be able to qualify for the deal jackpot. I know you certain don't need a royal etc.

Anytime you play you automatically get opted in to the 50% jackpot share for the next 12 hours.

So even if you just play the minimum 7 starcoins being dealt 1 time, thats enough?

Okay then how do you get eligible to be chosen like those players that get chosen for the jackpot etc?

I assume you mean getting a chance to spin the jackpot wheel? Well you need to spin a royal flush to get that.
The Deal - Pokerstars Quote

okay so let me make sure of this. As long as you do 7 starcoins once every 12 hours, assuming the next 12 hours jackpot hits, then you get a share which would be the probably between 25 cents and 1.50 based on what has been shown recently correct?

And does it show in your account history when you win that small amount or not? Can someone here tell me this?

Wait to spin the jackpot wheel, you need to spin a royal rush. Seriously? So basically how many potential people are there actually to be chosen from once the jackpot is getting read to be spinned? I can't imagine it being more than 100 max right? I mean its probably like 50 or less players? I mean the odds of getting a royal is very very low. So you have to hit a royal flush in the deal... then have to have the jackpot hit within the next 12 hours... is that correct? But if you do 70 coins a deal, then you only need a straight flush? Thus im going to assume that will increase the amount of players possible to be chosen. However... wouldn't this still probably be like 100 players at the absolute max? I mean you have to be basically dealt a straight or royal flush and you have to choose the 2 exact cards that isn't one of those 5 cards assuming you get dealt 7 cards where 5 of it makes a royal or straight flush. Can you or someone here correct me here? Because i cannot imagine the odds of someone even getting the jackpot this way.
