I did a comparison on blind structures tonight after a MTT at FT flew by. I see Full Tilt doesn't think 6 minute blinds are fast enough to consider that SNG tournament a turbo...isn't this kind of ridiculous? A SNG with 6 minutes blinds. NOT labeled a turbo...
So I looked at what the typical cutoff was to be considered a turbo at other sites like Pokerstars, Aced, Cake, and True Poker, and FT is the most lenient, every other site the blinds had to go up every 7 minutes or more to be considered a non-turbo, though more often than not the blinds were 10 minutes on average.
I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this. I've always thought FT had way too many Turbos tournies anyway (I heard in the FT forum that FTOPS XVII was loaded with them), but after this comparison I think it's even more of a concern.
FT has shorter blind levels than the competition, but the blinds don't go up as fast. And because the blinds don't go up as fast, it takes longer to blind off. So it's reasonable for FT to label their 6-minute blind level tourneys as non-turbo.

The above comes to mind.
And I myself think there is way to few turbo tournaments.
More please!
Judging the "speed" of a tournament by the length of time of the levels alone is like deciding if a hand is playable by looking at the hole cards alone.
