I've read somewhere I have to earn 2 chests DAILY to not get downgraded in my chests level. Is that accurate? I'm on Bronze right now but I thought about grinding up to silver putting in high volume for a day. Does that mean I have to earn 2 silver chests daily with NO DAYS OFF then? And same with all other levels?

No, you have to earn at least 1 chest per day, so 1,01 chests a day would be enough

So that means if I don't earn a bronze chest for example for one day, my next chest will always be a blue one? Or is earning a chest just required to be 100% safe from getting downgraded?

No, if the last three chests of the same color were opened on different days then you will be downgraded. So you need to open 3 chests every two days to maintain the same level.

Also "a day" is based on American Eastern standard time, so the end time will vary based on what time zone you are in. So in my case the day ends at 1pm, which makes it really confusing.

lmao, I was all excited to get back to poker only to find this. What a buzzkill.

Unreal, how they lowered the rakeback.

I'd totally support the chest idea, even though it adds more variance when it comes to rakeback, it's a model casuals like, like someone said here; it reminds the stuff you see in video-games.

But that rakeback reduction inadmissible.

You are right, I misinterpreted the e-mail Pokerstars sent. So basically, you need to "clear" 1,34 chests per day.

No, you need to clear to chest a day except th first day.

Monday = 15 chests

Tueaday = 1 chest

Wednesday = after you clear your first chest then the last 3 will all have been on different days and your next one will be downgraded.

Also if you clear zero on any day, no matter how many you cleared the day prior your next chest will be downgraded.

By now I found out this is not the case. I didn't play at all on friday (thus cleared no chest obv, EST which is relevant I guess), was bronze before, cleared some chests over the weekend and it remained bronze throughout.

So yesterday I cleared 2 bronze chests, today after first bronze chest was earned I get downgraded to blue? Seems like pure randomness..

Looks like you need to sort the time zone out. Where are you located? The two you earned yesterday were probably on different sides of the Stars Timezone.

Nah, I'm in CET and play mostly during primetime. I don't really play at 6am CET at all

Then download the audit history, search Stars rewards, note the times you earned chests and if you did in fact get downgraded after earning 2 in a day email Stars and complain.

How do stars coins work? There is no VIP store any more (I think) so what are they used for?

To answer that question, you just need to tell me the Points required and Boost amount for your bronze and silver chests.

I think it's always better to get the bigger chest since the EV is slightly more than 2x the smaller chest and you'll be Getting bigger boosts.

There's no chest history anywhere right, where you can check the playthrough requirements of chests earned?

Send an email to support and they will prepare a history report for you.

I haven't played on pokerstars for about 2 years, since the initial changes. I would usually rake 5k+ a month and play multiple sites (had months with 20k+ across the board) back when they had their regular vip program but have only been playing part time for the past year or so.

I don't really get these new rewards and this random crapshoot they have going on. From my understanding the rakeback is even worse now, and rewards casino and sportsbetting play.

I may want to try pokerstars again.. can anyone break this down someone like me (who would play poker only) who has not seen a chest ever or know how they work? What type of rakeback equivalent would I get if I raked 1-2k a month from poker only? What if I would rake more in the 2-5k range, would that change anything in terms of %? Would it be very random with huge discrepancies every month depending on how "lucky" you are in your "chests"?

It's honestly so low that it's not worth thinking about, just open your chests, roll your eyes and move on. You'll get on average 2-6% rb, there's nothing you can do to affect it.

Yeah, was reading up on it and saw that it's about 6% average for a lot of people, but from my understanding it's basically 6%+ with the chance to win bigger prizes? Hitting rare chests can bring your rb up for over 100% at some intervals. So was mostly wondering what is the overall expected value you can get? (if this is even possible to calculate within all this convolution)

Last I remember reading when SN became a monthly status, it was about 25%, I can't believe they would lower rewards to under 10% average expectation, even for grinders?
