We haven't had any trouble, but I do remember that it's not as easy as it looks. You might shoot them an e-mail. They will walk you through it.

I really feel bad for anoyne that checks out this site it is by far the worst I have ever visited including subscription sites which have a far better value then this . The hype far exceeds expectation unless you are used to an inferor product then you will be in your element at Carafino poker.

Just my 2 cents off course since you asked. I don't remember but the time it took to download and register is so much better spent doing anything else .
Sorry but I'm more and more agreeing with Zecko here. I still log on every once in a while and play a few games (a few games takes wayyy too long to play with this horrible software and no option of multi-tabling). It just makes me sad.

I still haven't been able to find anyone to play me at step7 heads up and don't see it happening in the near future. Even though it is extremely easy to beat these games for any kind of (even slightly) "thinking" player - doesn't really matter.

I can beat the step 1,2,3,4 all day if I want (and I have over and over) but still don't find anyone to play higher. A few times I found someone to play me at step5 and 6 and easily beat them as well but that's where it stalls.

Hopefully they will improve there software (worst I've ever seen for poker) - and hopefully more player traffic will find it's way there someday. When and if that happens I have tons of step tickets to use if I ever find someone to play with!!??

Does look like they got more advertising (not just the discover ad that ran over and over) so I thought that was a good sign - but still need players (and definitely need better software) or this will never go!

Sigh.

If you really need a place to play for free and it sounds like this is very attractive option for a lot of people in this thread go the subscription route. You can send in a post card with your info and get all access of a paying member. Sites I belive have this feature are NLOP, Faceup gaming (hasn't been paying its players past few months) , pure play and wpt. Most of these sights have a 20 or 25 dollar monthly fee but you can send in a 3 by 5 card to all sites and they have to allow you to play for free. Check the tos for postcard info or email support and they will give you address info. Couple of other ones can't remember the names. Best chance of winning on nlop and faceup. Pure play is another sight.

Subscription sights aren't great options but imo they are far superior to Carafino. If Carafino was a viable option I would be on the band wagon with everyone else. The freestep scenario was tried by pay sites like Minted poker. It was easy at first to cash but then Minted added more steps and it took hours to have the final cash step get started. I hope we get something that is playable here in USA sometime in the not so distant future.

A lot of players 200 or so that are in poker groups together outside of 2 plus 2 play the subscription sights and have been getting stiffed and not payed on those either. I would love to see a player run subscription type sight get off the ground as it is the only legal poker in the US as of now that I know of .

My withdrawal is still pending approval and they haven't replied to my email I sent last Friday. I'm not really worried about the $13, but it's the principle, I guess.

EDIT~ To be fair it does say it can take up to 90 days.

I have a similar experience. I've been waiting almost 2 weeks for payment. They ignored my e-mail this past Monday.

Their Facebook page has not been updated for almost a month.
They have not tweeted for almost a month.
The traffic on their site is actually worse than it was 1-2 weeks ago.

And about that 90 days...

From the Cafrino FAQ:

"We are allowing a maximum of 90 days to transfer the funds in case there is a large volume of cash outs at one time, but we will do our best to get it to you much sooner." (emphasis added)

It's hard to believe there is a "large volume of cash outs" right now.

This really worries me. I have never had any trouble getting paid. We use PP. I have continually stuck up for them on this basis alone. I figured, heck, it's free, it's beta, we know it's crap, it's free. It's FREE... As long as I was getting my money that was fine. Please keep on them about this. Don't just let it go. I would write every day. I would call if you can find a number. Good luck!

AFAIK they only pay out through PayPal. I even went back in and reverified my account because I haven't used it since 2007. When was the last time they sent you a payment? I'm going to continue to e-mail them and I'll let you know if anything happens.

Amy/MeeAmy, have you heard anything yet? They haven't responded to me about a totally different issue in about four days now. They always used to get right back. I'm also waiting for a cash-out, as is my husband. XXX fingers but not expecting much.

2 e-mails sent, nothing back. I had problems initially logging in, and they had replied to me within 4 hours, so I do know SOMEONE answers e-mails (or used to). I'm going to continue to bug them. Like you, I'm not expecting much out of this.

Whenever i've needed to contact them I post on their FB page. Always got quick responses there. It seems like traffic is up some lately. There's actually people waiting at step 4's and 5's.

Uh, no free rolls the last two nights.

Is the site doing so poorly they can't lay out $50 a day?

I actually got a level 4 game going on a full table spreeroll the other night. Now I have a level 5 ticket that will be next to impossible to play. I have a level 9 heads up, but have not been able to use that for seven weeks now.

Still no free rolls. Traffic is definitely down, but not out yet.

I have not seen a a multi in a week. Looks like those have stopped. I hope they start up again.

There is nobody on the site playing. Since I joined, the traffic is the same or less it seems.

But what I don't understand is if you can't play poker online for money in the US, then what site is everyone playing on? You would think they would be jammed with people each day.

I played here for a little and got a step 5 ring-game that's just sitting there and cashed in a MTT for 2 bucks. So I say this with love in my heart but the reason people aren't flooding to the site is because the prospects of making any meaningful cash at the site is nil and the software is crappy. If I want to play risk-free poker with a small chance of winning an insignificant sum of money, I'll play the free-rolls or steps over at Carbon.

I always got paid, which is the only reason I started this thread. But I warned people several times about not counting on "free money." The payouts seemed to get slower in December and I stopped playing there well before the MTT freerolls stopped. I'm sorry some of you got caught in the middle. At least it was a free site :/
