Bovada is now offering Poker in the USA again. I just stumbled on to this while mousing around.
"As of the morning of Aug. 22, 2017, online sports-betting and casino site Bovada.lv has added a poker room to its menu of services. The site had operated a poker site on the PaiWangLuo Network before selling its poker resources to Ignition Casino in August 2016. Now Bovada is back on the same network and offering the same U.S.-friendly online card games that it used to."
That quote is from here http://professionalrakeback.com/bovada-poker-is-back
and some more info here

does this mean ignition and bovada have the same player pool? and does the 500$ first deposit bonus work even if you had an old bovada account?

Yes, both are on Pai Wang Luo network.
Doubtful you'd get a second "first deposit bonus," but you could always try and let us know heh.

Are the issues from Ignition in Bovada too?

thats odd. I thought bovada "sold" their poker division to ignition. How can they just reopen it a year later and take players back from ignition? and what is stopping them from closing their poker section again?

They did sell their poker business to Ignition. And the entire Bodog Poker Network was transferred to Pai Wang Luo Network. As another poster mentioned, all the federal charges against Calvin Ayre were dropped sans a misdemeanor which he paid a $300,000 fine for. He was even allowed to buy back bodog.com (which was seized) for $100,000. He did give up rights to 67 million dollars they seized as well though hah.

Just to clarify, this mean Ignition and Bovada are essentially skins for the same game/pool?

The same 5 states are banned, including NY. Someone in another thread says otherwise for NY, but I had a friend banned just 4 days ago who was dual resident of Mass and NY and had a Mass address so things seem status quo.

Yes. Ignition is the flagship. It has 2x the poker bonus and perhaps may have other things in the future. Kinda like America's Cardroom is the flagship of Winning Poker Network and has a few extra little perks (the only Mac client for example).

Has anyone tried Bovada's new/old software? Is it buggy like Ignition's?

Does this mean Bodog/Bovada will eventually return to their own (Bodog) network?

Call ignition and ask. I did and emailed. All say NY is ALLOWED

You can only deposit via bitcoin and withdraw via bitcoin. Only Igntion, not Bovada.

Khan, I mentioned your story to the rep and he said to call.

All I can say is I live and reside in NY, and deposited and played with 0 issues.

Every skin on the network, Bodog, Bovada, Bodog88, and Ignition, uses the exact same software with different logos on it.

I don't know of a single network in the world that allows it's client skins to connect with a different software package than other sites... think of the technical support chaos such a thing would present!

There is no Bodog Poker Network to return to. There is the Pai Wang Luo network. PaiWangLuo purchased the poker platform of the Bodog Network early in 2017.

Is there a way for all the players to ban together and petition them (or pay them possibly) to revert back to version 4.26.01? Before all the stupid "loading...) **** and the horrible graphics that cannot be modified.

If I'm understanding what's happening correctly, this should be purely beneficial to grinders. More players (likely disproportionately U.S. players) who sportsbet on Bovada will now be able to (again) easily take their soft money to the poker tables via the same client - just a tab click away.

The net effect being 1) more players on the network (always a good thing) and 2) especially good in that the vast majority of those new players are casuals thus resulting in an influx of dead money into the network.

Am I viewing this the same as most? Any counterargument to this or something I'm missing/haven't thought of?
