Do you have to cancel Nucharge first before requesting a cashout from Bodog? And what mail check is everyone using? Regular or priority?

Bodog is indeed much faster now. The most recent payout I received was a check by courier which was requested on 10-1 and delivered via Fed-Ex on 10-8

When US players requested payouts, did most of you pick Courier or Mail? Is there no fee for courier? Since it says that is faster, if they are both free I guess courier would make the most sense.

This is from the Bodog payout page....."Bodog will cover your payout fees for one payout per calendar month. Additional payouts in the same month will incur a $20 processing fee"

As long as you stick to one check per month there are no fees for either the courier check or regular mail check. The Fed-Ex check came much faster than the mail so it's definitely the way to go when requesting payouts.

Yeah, I thought it was too good to be true there were 2 shipping methods, both free, but one quicker. Since the mail one seems pointless, I chose "Check by Courier" last night. Today they emailed saying it is processed. When it arrives I will post the turnaround time.

yes, you do. cancel nucharge, then send bodog an email saying you cancelled it and to eliminate it as a payout method for you.

You guys need to remember to change to the check by courier tab when cashing out. It's free once a month. It's never taken more than 2-3 business days.

So I just got a letter from my bank (TCF MN) about my check for 1400 above. It says that the check will most likely not be honored as they believe it to be uncollectable? WTF!!!! What am I supposed to do now...might be time for Bodog to find a new check processor?! What do I do to make sure I get paid?

Be patient and wait. It will either clear or not, despite the bank's speculation.

Since I have seen these from both Bodog & Absolute (In regards to TCF & Charter One) could you inquire why TCF thinks it wont clear? If you're worried about stirring up the hornets nest you can tell them it was payment for internet related work.

I have deposited a number of checks from Bodog over the last several months. A little over $2,000 all together. All of the checks have cleared without any issues.

I have one deposit that I made on Friday that has not yet cleared. The complaint from MNSUgoMAVS! has me a bit worried. When I deposited the check, I got "a read" on the bank teller. He looked very suspicious, as if the source of the check indicated or flagged that I was doing something shady or illegal. I am not that good of a B&M player, but I am learning to spot "tells." The brief interaction with the teller left me feeling uneasy.

I will post if the check clears or has problems clearing.

With my next check, I am going to try a local check cashing place. The downside is that they charge between 1.5 and 2% of the value of the check as a fee. If I am able to cash the check in that manner, I will know that that option is available and can always eat the commission and then deposit the cash in the bank without worries.

These forums are good a good source of information for the poker and online gaming community.

Thanks

I'm recieving another check for $3600 on Thursday. Even if the one for 1400 ends up clearing (I hope it will, don't see why it won't, it's from a united states bank in georgia) I don't know if i feel comfortable trying to cash it at TCF. Should I try opening an account at a smaller community bank or credit union? Go to a check cashing store and pay large fees?

just deposit via ATM. This seems to bypass many problems with my checks from other sites.

QFT. I don't know why people refuse to do this, I do this with all my checks usually low 5 figs. They clear in one business day for the most part.

What makes this one unique is that he/she received a letter from the bank several days after the deposit was made. I understand that his/her read was that the teller acted strangely when he saw the check & very well could have alerted his manager to a suspicious check (after all, some of these Bodog checks looks like they belong in Bazooka Joe packs). We don't know if this check would have received the same scrutiny had it been deposited in the ATM instead. I realize that most ATM deposits are handled differently & sometimes processed by a third party (TCF & Charter do their own processing of these ATM deposits). While TCF has grown by gobbling up local banks/S&L they are still a small bank who treat their customers accordingly. The OP could walk into his same branch & discuss the letter with the branch manager without any fear of the manager reporting him for anything. While they want to protect their own interests the OP's interests are also valued by TCF. I understand OP's reluctance to stir the pot but I wish he/she would reconsider. Please keep us posted.

Pappy
