Sorry guys, too much to read and Im sure this has been answered. I usually cash out checks, takes a long time to recieve. I was going to try MT but the fee's are rediculously high. My question is how long does it take to recieve payment through this method? Do any of you guys choose this over check? Is it reliable and what qualifications do you need to use it. I kind of wanted the money quicker but paying 80 bucks fee is pretty bad

Body Man D,

Did you receive the remaining $2,200 from Bodog yet? I know you said earlier that you received your first check for $3,000

pnycff,

I have a 5 figure cash out in process. Let me know when you receive your next checks so I have an idea how much they are staggered.

DonkeyKong,

I requested a 5 figure cashout on September 19th. I didn't want to wait two plus months to get the cash via check so I inquired about using money transfer and here's the response i got..............

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service.

We regret to inform you that in order to be eligible to request a payout via Money Transfer you must have had that option as your primary depositing option previously, however upon review of your account, it was noted that you have never deposited using this option.

Therefore you will be unable to request your payout as mentioned previously via this method.

Note also that in order to be eligible to request your payouts via Money Transfer you are required to make several deposits using this option and the amount of deposits made must outweigh your present depositing options.

Thanks a lot, appreciate it. I only transfer funds using my bank account so I guess I will have to wait 2.5+ months for the check. Thanks for the info

It shouldn't take 2.5 months. People have been receiving payouts in about 7 calendar weeks.

Oh really, thats good. I wasnt playing for about a 1/2 year until now and the last check i got took almost 3 months and then bounced. I am glad to hear that the time is getting cut shorter. Are there still problems with bounced checks recently?

Checks haven't been bouncing. That was related to the FEDS taking 24 million from there account. The problem has been cleared up.

Looking for any possible advice on opening an offshore account!

I won the Bodog $300k ME for $75k. Fine it's a brag I guess, but it's the truth. Never been a huge winner before.. winning player there but not that kinda money.

Anyway, only possible way to get it in any kind of quick fashion is to open a bank account outside the US as I am US citizen living in US.

I've been given the names of some banks people have used to do this, but never quite enough process detail on how to go about it. After calling few Caribbean banks it became clear that telling them you are a poker player = no account and end of conversation. If anyone can help me out with how they managed to accomplish this feat (as I know some people have managed to do it) I'd be greatly appreciative. Feel free to PM if you don't want to publicize details. I'd even love a referral to a lawyer/accountant type who I could even pay to set this crap up for me, but I've been unable to find the right people.

FYI I'm not trying to evade taxes.. I'm going to pay em all. but this is the only way to quickly get the funds to the US.

website-------->overseas bank ------>US bank.

In case this post is looked at with suspicion since it's like my 5th post or something, I'm a regular poster at the other place, same name, I'm legit.

Thanks in advance for any help people can give me...I need the dough to live on and the idea of paying nearly 4G's in WU fees to get it out that way over the course of 20 weeks makes me want to puke.

Bon

bonflizubi,

Why don't you just make multiple cashouts in $10,000 increments via check? I recently cashed out for 39K. Checks will come in increments of 3,000 in about 7 weeks or less.

you got 39k in 7 weeks? That doesn't really compute for me here. Correct me where I am wrong?

Service standard is somewhere between 30-40 business days today for check #1, which would be 6-8 weeks.

Checks after that would be spoaced 5-7 busines days apart. If I'm charitable and assume 1 check a week, that means:

- 3k in 8 weeks.
- 3k per week thereafter

to get 75k would require 25 3k checks.

Thats 8 weeks + 24 more weeks = 8 months!!!!!!!

The only way i understand what you are telling me is to, for example, request 10k this week, 10k next week, etc. etc. where they start the cashouts at the point of request. In that case, I'd get the first 10k in ~10 weeks, and then each additional 10k would complete a week later.

That would total 8 cashouts and ~10 weeks +7 weeks additionoal by that logic which is 17+. (Not to mention my bank wondering why I keep popping 3k in there everyweek. Can you say investigation?)

If I've missed something plz correct me- Not that I want even 17 weeks but that's bettter than the 32 I computed above...

Thanks!

I cashed out $3000 from Bodog, they said it would be 40 business days. Almost to the day the check has arrived and cleared in October.

For 75K I would fly directly to their Offices, and demand a briefcase full of cash.

I'd do it, except I think I would be facing interrogation on my way into the country with that amount of cash on me since 10k is the max you can bring in without declaring it. And I am sure 75k declared would still result in an interrogation......

I did volunteer to go wherever and get a check, but was denied. I mean, Antigua can't be that bad for a couple days.....
