I requested my check around the same time. Bye bye Bodog. I hope you go under as you lose pretty much your entire US customer base.

Like most people who used to play there regularly, I would like to go back to the juicy games. The payout problem and instability drives me to 12 table on stars.

I get emails constantly from bodog offering great enticements and bonuses for me to start playing there again, but they need to get their check payouts figured out first;

Requested payout through WU earlier this morning at 12:02 A:M est. Payout was confirmed at 2:37 A:M. I picked up my money through Western Union at 11:03 A:M est. Not bad. Cashed out $500, Bodog took $50 from my account for the processing fee.

Last month, I was also able to cash out through WU in the amount of $1k just before the fees took in place.

I made one deposit three months ago through WU which is why I am able to withdrawal through them. Funny thing I had to to call Bodog because apparently WU money transfer wasn't available for me until I spoke to a customer rep.

Bodog already has an alternative. It accepts deposits via Ewalletxpress. However, it does not permit withdrawals via Ewalletxpress. If Bodog really desired an alternative payout method, then it could authorize withdrawal to your Ewalletxpress account.

Called Bodog and told them its not fair for them to charge me since they asked me to deposit twice the last month so that I can withdraw via WU. They agreed to let me withdraw for free one time.

Tried to cash out just a few moments ago. Received a message in the cashier screen that no payment options were available to me, and to call CS. CS tells me that it is no longer possible to mail checks to the People's Republic of Maryland. Waiting for management to check back to me with a creative solution.

FlopYou, same deal here. I am a MD'er myself. That is why I did the reload with MT to be able to use that as a payout method. That is when they tried to pull the fee for withdrawal crap. I just called them & complained the fee was unfair as I followed their instructions and they agreed to give me one free MT cashout. Cash was in hand this weekend. Call, be frustrated, but professional.

Well, I just received my final check from Bodog today... I requested it back in mid-July. Hopefully the damn thing doesn't bounce and I can be done dealing with these degenerates at Bodog once and for all.

Requested $5,200 on Aug. 4 via currier. Received $3,000 yesterday, still waiting on the balance. I realize from previous cash outs they limit checks to 3k and I've usually received all the checks within a few days of each other. So hopefully i'll be receiving the other 2,200 in the next day or so.

I learned my lesson from NUCharge adn their prepaid credit card...It will work for a few weeks, then go under. I'd avoid like the plague.

from a member of bodog sales team that i bitch at about once a week:

Hi MAHPS,

I understand your frustration. As a US player, your payout options are slim, and our recent decision to stop absorbing Western Union fees has been a real negative.

Players care about security, fairness, software performance, game choice, and payment solutions. Bodog poker is working hard to create promotions that appeal to a wide range of players, and to keep improving software and security. Bodog is more than just poker, and our sports and casino business relies on the same payout processing options for those players.

While payout processing may trump all other factors for you, it's important for the people working in our customer service, software dev, and tournament depts that we keep trying to improve while the processing side catches up to the rest of the industry.

Our check payout times have improved to approximately 7 weeks - not at our goal, but improving. Your comment on Western Union fees is undeniable -Western Union is just not a viable solution for payouts, as the fees are ludicrous. We are working on adding more options, soon.

The past year has seen us improve software stability, launch a new gameplay design that allows future upgrades, add resizable software, and open 4 tables vs 3 max. The BPO is a celebration of that progress, and of the loyal players that spend their entertainment dollars here.

As a member of the Bodog poker team, I can assure you that we do get it - we are not moving forward in other areas at the detriment of payment processing improvements - I am proud of what our tournament and software teams have accomplished this year, and while our payments processing is not tops in the poker industry, our expectation is that there will soon be real progress on the payout side, real soon.

Feel free to contact me with any further questions,

Steve

i responded with an "LOL" about a "bodog software development team". there is no way that such a thing exists.

Ask him why Bodog does not permit payouts to a player's Ewalletxpress account. It accepts deposits from Ewalletxpress. Other online poker rooms permit payouts to Ewalletxpress. Maybe cash flow is the real problem.

i personally doubt cashflow is a problem, tho i have no proof one way or the other. i think it comes down to the feds having decided to concentrate their efforts on bodog, and the law working, at least somewhat, the way it was designed to. of course, the law is wrong.

eWalletXpress stays in business by not allowing payouts from sites that have sportsbooks.

This makes no sense. It is accepting money from a gambler by a site offering unlawful Internet gambling that violates the UIGEA; not giving the gambler his money. By permitting deposits to Bodog, Ewalletxpress has likely already violated the Wire Act and maybe the UIGEA because Bodog offers sports betting which is the only definite unlawful Internet gambling under US federal law and case law.

I'm assuming the loophole against ur argument (which I agree with u JP) is that Ewallet is allowing people to deposit to Bodog Poker and it's out of their control if people transfer money to the sportsbook

Yep, I am from MD, and they stopped allowing checks for me months ago. Got an MT payout 2 days before they started the whole fee fiasco. I wonder why we can't get checks but other states can...oh well.

Neteller declined to use that defense against the DOJ and settled for payment of a large fine. Actually, IMO it's a good defense, but who knows if it would prevail. Epassporte would only do business with poker only sites. But when the DOJ sent them a subpoena and threatened them, Epassporte unfortunately voluntarily caved and left the online gambling market.

The feds have been shutting down processors by tracking sportsbook payouts to US accounts.

Two recent account seizures were based on evidence given by an IRS agent in Maryland.

I just read the last 100 posts and didn't see my issue addressed. Can someone briefly explain what if any qualifications there are for WU cashouts? I played quite a bit on Bodog 2-3 years ago and someone recently told me they offered WU cashouts. I emailed them regarding this and they said that this option was not available but someone would email me once my new address was verified. I assume this is a "nudge-nudge wink-wink" type thing. I saw people mention making 3 deposits and $50 fees but would appreciate it if someone would clarify.

I don't think anyone really knows for sure. Some people have to make multiple deposits, some only one, and some just don't get the option for some reason.
