You should have told them you were a drug dealer. They probably would have said that is fine as long as the check is not from party poker.

I am tired of being asked to wait... I am a "small fish" ...lol... I requested payout of $200 on july 14, 2008... and still nothing... all phone calls end with "I will look in to it" and "it is going to be soon"... HOW SOON?

It also depends on how much u are cashing out i think anything over like $1,000 and out of state the put on hold.If you are just cashing out a few hundred u wont to have to worry about it.

Yeah i tryed not to say anything about it but then they asked what it is from and i was just straight up with them.I admit there is better things to say .i just couldnt think of anything to say off the top of my head.what should we say though when we get asked this? I got a couple more checks coming,so if my next trip to the bank could go a lil smoother that would be great.

This is why you think of something before hand moron. You know it's illegal for them to even take those and they are probably in the process of investigating it right now. The last checks I got said to say its from a large online company. Next time you go in I imagine your funds will be locked up and say BYE BYE to your money.. idiot.

"I won an online sweepstakes! (in a round-about way is sort of true) I can't believe it. Except for those Harry Potter tickets, I haven't won anything in my whole life."

If I ever deposited a check at the actual counter (which I dont) I would say its from grandfather's online money market account or something, and if they asked further questions you can obv avoid them by saying you don't really know anything about his account.

For those of you who always deposit the checks at ATMs, have you ever got a phone call from your bank asking questions about the check?

I deposited one check from mg when it was still going and my bank put a hold on it. This was the week before mg got taken off all the sites as an option though. I've never once had an issue depositing a check straight from a site into my BOA bank account via ATM.

"It is income from business I conduct on the internet."

Completely true, completely innocuous.

Yes, I received one a few hours after requesting a withdrawal.

In the payout webpage, Bodog states:

"Please be advised that Bodog reserves the right to process any payout request over US$ 10,000 in the manner that is most appropriate."

Does this mean they have another withdrawal option?

i know the officer was just doing his job and i pointed out to him that i had a busted tail light and my insurance was expired
when he returned with my tickets I informed him that i had a bag of weed in my pocket
As he was putting the cuffs on me I informed him that I had sex with a minor the night before and her body was now in the dumpster behind my house

I have deposited a check from bodog at my bank before, and they didnt ask about this time they did ask. I had no intentions of goin to my bank and telling them the check is from a gambling site. The check looks like a canadian check and they asked multiple questions, which threw me off guard they threw a hold on it which is standard for any out of state check over 1,000 dollars. They said the funds will be available after 7 business days. Just like my last check got put on a hold for 7 businness days . Nothing is different here.

Does every MT station ask for a SSN on withdrawals over 1K?
no. they shouldnt ask you that until the xfer is 3k at the very least.

the dude who actually told his bank "this is from online gambling" is a complete moron, and does a disservice to the rest of us. i mean cmon buddy. have at least some semblence of a response in your head prior to going in. the standard response is "ebay business" (or "none of your business"; "ill take my business to another bank that doesnt suck").

maybe im just on tilt, but i still think that is ridic.

6 days and counting since I requested a MT withdrawal, this is BS. If I have to pay 150 bucks to cash my money out, I expect it to be AT LEAST as fast as it was before. I will never play on bodog again.
