According to what was reported they weren't supposed to be allowing either. Maybe they decided that not allowing new sign ups was good enough?
In my opinion, either somebody broke the story with incorrect information and everybody else just copied that (I have a professional background in media and know that this happens more often than many believe) or Bovada changed that aspect of the policy shortly after the news broke. For what it's worth, I contacted them almost immediately after the story broke, and they told me that I could still deposit if I wanted to ("We’ve only stopped accepting new player from Nevada; however, deposit and payout options are still open for existing accounts that currently reside in Nevada"). Either way, I don't think that they are purposefully hiding this information, but whatever. At least I now sort of understand why I tried to correct incorrect information from being spread here and essentially get ignored instead.
