Requested $950 check by courier, approved in a day and received in approx. 4 days. To my delight, the atm at Wiener's Farto accepted it and it was cleared within 36 hours. Northern check sent to me in Southern Killafornia

I deposited a XXXX.XX check at a (not big) bank on 3/27, which was then sent for collections. It has not yet cleared.

How long should I wait to:

A) Call the bank up to complain (and if I should contact Bovada)

B) I know to avoid gambling talk, but what should I say to escalate this getting cleared?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks. I need this cash before WSOP!

When a check goes to collections, it gets cleared when your bank receives the money from the bank the check is drawn on. Simple as that. That's the whole point of it going to collections in the first place. I can't imagine that there's much anybody (other than the bank the check is drawn on) can do to make that process quicker.

They tried to put the first check i received on hold....I asked for a manager and basically told her if they cant handle the type of business i do i would be forced to close my accounts and move my business else where. They must have noted my account or something, no teller ever questions me and Funds are always immediately available now.

ATM regulations changed sometime in 2013 so international checks have to be done in person, it's "know your customer" deal.

Has anyone had success with a visa withdraw?

What? Are you referring to the policies of a specific bank? Because there are dozens of examples in this thread where people (including me) have successfully deposited foreign (non-Canadian) checks in ATMs with no problem whatsoever.

What place would you recommend to cash your payout check besides a bank?? Is walmart a place that would cash the payout check??

I always cash at wallworld, if they will do it. It's really hit or miss. Lately all the canadian checks have been cashing at wallymarty. the one I received today did not. The machine couldnt read it. The lady said she thinks its because the numbers on the check were too far apart and that happens
sometimes. First time its happened to me. Theres been other times where they won't cash it but never for this reason. Usually cashes. Unless its from Singapore.

I requested a check cashout on 4/11 that was approved within a few hours, but I still haven't received it. I also haven't received any tracking information.

Anyone else having issues with slow payments lately via check? Should I be emailing Bovada at this point?

Last week I withdrew a thousand from my account and received the check in two days and deposited and it cleared 3 days ago. Yesterday I requested to withdraw another 1500. Should I wait a while before cashing this next one (to not look suspicious) or should it not matter?

I have never had a problem depositing at my big bank and live in IN.

Received check today (missed Friday's attempt) and deposited inside no problem. Took one week exactly from withdrawal to doorstep. It was from the North and slightly different than usual.
