Im talking about just because they didnt ask you to verify your ID doesnt mean they wont ask anyone obviously. A player should know that they may be required to prove their identification at any time on any poker site including Bovada.

Check
Req 4/1
Approved 4/1
Received 4/4

Atm had issues with this particular check. Had to use a deposit slip. It was one with pink paper.

Western union or money gram?
Ok, I have always deposited via credit card, and have always been fine with getting checks on the cashout. I am now wanting to cash out via money gram or western union. I know I need to deposit with these options first to be able to cashout this way. What I am unclear on is which method or route I should go. If I deposit 100 bucks tomorrow will I be able to turn around and cashout 700 with the same method the next day even though I have only deposited 100 using this method? I need some solid info, and/or recommendations. Thanks.

Cont. from previous post...
Also which method (wu or moneygram) of cashing out has been the fastest recently? That's the route I would like to go, if I am able. I have a friend that I know it took over a week from the time of request to paid last month for a wu cashout whereas before he said it only took 2-3 days.

Moneygram has lower fees but a lower max withdrawal amount. Both were quick each time I used them. Most recently used 2 MG and both were 1-2 days ^ MG cheaper fees for yourself sending also.

I just asked bovada if I could cash out through western union in a pinch if I needed to. I have deposited through WU once. Maybe 5 months ago a rep told me I was eligible and I never deposited between then and today. Today I talked with a rep and they said that the majority of my deposits needed to be in WU. She said I deposited 3 times through visa and once through WU so I couldn't cashout through WU. Is anyone else in the same boat? Or is this rep just trying to get me to not cashout?

She also said that last week they instituted a policy where you can only deposit once per week with WU.

My friend plays for a living on there and he got the same notice recently. Edit: he just texted me saying "it's the deposit method where the majority of your balance came from when you go to cashout"

Just deposited two checks - both arrived within a week of request, one was only 3 days. Different providers but both are from up north so no ATM. I have had a check from one of the two providers before, several months ago, and had no issues.

Went into the bank, teller went back and got an add'l signature and then said they are good to go, funds will be available tomorrow...but then gave me the ominous "it could take up to six weeks to see if the sources are good so if you see a debit to the account that would be why". Given that info, does this mean that in actuality I really don't have any clue if the checks are likely to bounce and my bank is just fronting the funds, or did it pass an initial level of screening and at this point we should be good to go barring any craziness between then and now?

You might get a better answer tomorrow if you call the bank's customer service. Call the main 800 number and not the branch. They'll try running it through tonight and based on what happens there it will determine if funds are available right away or if it will take longer.

Correct, if you sold something om eBay or Craigslist and got a similar type check, it might take 2-3 weeks before you knew check did not clear.

CAUTION: Bovada will not pay me. A friend of mine showed me how to open a Bovada account. When we did the bank would not OK my credit card. My friend offered to use his credit card and I could pay him. He used his card and open my account with $500.00. Months Later I added $300.00 more with Money Gram. Months go by and after football season I requested a $900.00 pay out. They informed be that I would need to fill out a credit card form and I needed a letter from my friend saying I had permission to use his card. We sent them what they asked for and now they want a copy of his ID and a copy of his bank statement. The problem is after all this time he doesn't have that bank account anymore. I asked Bovada why they were doing this and they were rude telling me they have to make sure the card was legally used. I asked them that if that was the case, shouldn't they have checked that when I opened the account, not when I asked for a payout. Note: My friend that opened my account has an account with Bovada. He has used this same card and they never asked him for any paper work and yet they won't believe him when it comes to my account. The only thing I can conclude is that they are looking to cheat me out of $900.00. That's pretty petty.

You are really over reacting... You used a card not linked to you to deposit. If they pay you, they could easily be the victim if the credit card holder (your friend) reverses the charges. They need to get enough information so they can protect themselves if he does attempt to reverse the charges/claim fraud. Calm down, Bovada is not trying to scam you.

Edit: Grammars

You need to reevaluate your conclusion, that is why I highlighted the last part.

The first part was highlighted for the pure absurdity of it.

Two checks requested 4/5 for 900 a piece
Received combined check for 1800 4/8

Is there any places that cash these? Or have to wait 2-3 days via atm?
