Does anyone have experience trying to cash a check a week or more after it is received? I will be out of town and am wondering if I should wait till I return to request the check.

Sorry if this has been asked already but it's hard to sift through 800+ pages...

Has anyone had success depositing checks through the bank's ATM or using their phone's app?

I've read far eastern ones work in the ATM and others do not.

Have successfully used the ATM for far eastern ones. Haven't tried the ATM for others, as they came with a notice they would not work there (worked fine @ drive through).

This has been my (limited) experience. Two northern ones, one eastern one. The latter, the ATM took it, but couldn't read the amount, so I had to type it in manually, but had no issues other than that.

u wanna b home when the check arrives...ive waited over a week one time before depositing and it was NP altho u should deposit ASAP...my last check showed up in 4 days...i'd prolly just wait til u get back...safe travels

I was speaking in code basically because thread title says this, (DO NOT post bank names).

Believe it could lead back to this thread and forums when people search the bank name which is something we do not want I guess.

I don't know if what we do qualifies as a code, but the reason for it is because it takes like 1 second to do and adds a layer of difficulty to any bank workers or feds who might find ways to use this information to shut down payment processors, or put further pressure on the banks in question resulting in more scrutiny for each check and potential account closures for people like ourselves. There's just a lot of good reasons to do it, and no reason not to do. Whether it's all in our heads or not, we'd rather be safe than sorry.

checks, wires, WU, moneygram are all available.

I think you can do pre paid visa gift cards, just make sure they are not for US only.

The withdraw methods available are going to depend on your State, deposit method and standing/age of your account.
