i think they just want to sit with your money and earn interest.. if you accumulate all the withdrawals, it has to be millions of dollars a month and if they sit on them for a month average at 4-5%, then its a good interest earning.

Check delivered on the 8th from March 9th request. And surprisingly, it doesn't look like it was made in someone's basement. New bank.

I am laughing just picturing that conversation:

Bodog: Hi, I would like to open a business account.
Bank: Sure, what do you do?
Bodog: I, ummm, uhhh, process business transactions.
Bank: Is this all above board and legal?
Bodog: Sure, Calvin said so.
Bank: Ummm...okay...but only because we can't finance sub prime mortgages anymore...this seems much safer.

Not that I mind; but why would any bank in the US want to have these companies for a customer. It isn't worth it, is it?

There are all sorts of disclosures about collecting and sharing of my information and transactions. I'm sure its the same stuff with credit cards but I've never really read them. I want my cash but I'm not sure about this card. Am i being too worried? Anyone else get his card yet?
Just got an email saying that I was eligible for debit card withdrawals - not sure if I should get one. Who else has one and have they run into any problems?

Took me a while to get my check from Bodog. Didn't like their speed at all.

Last week it was rigged against me something awful. It's ok though, playing a million hours at 2/1 or something close to that is slowly digging me out of the riggedness. I've learned only to limp KK pre, and only continue postflop if I hit a set, as well as many other crucial skills.

A bank teller questioned me about the origin of a Bodog payout check drawn on a Nevada bank. So I told her that it was a rebate from a brothel.

Taking a clue from the Epassporte threads, I suspect that Bodog's payout by check times will increase to 30+ days effective immediately.

Thank you for your email. Cashouts by check for our US Players pre-UIGEA were normally taking 10-15 business days for delivery. Unfortunately given the lack of credible check processors remaining in this sector, those who do remain are inundated with processing requests. The result is a backup industry wide and expected delivery times of 20-25 business days or longer and at this time we are unable to provide a firm expectation for the delivery of a check to US players.

As you may be aware the movement of checks has not always been ideal since the signing of the UIEGA. CakePoker employs a number of processors to help us move checks out to our players. While we have continued to deliver checks to our US resident players, checks in excess of $2500 US$ have been handled by a specific group of processors that has proven to be less effective over time. In an effort to compensate we are introducing a few new processors this week that we expect to bring check processing and delivery times down significantly. With these new processors we are required to formally confirm the identification of the individual before a check can be dispatched. As a result you will be required to provide picture identification in the form of a driver’s license or a passport, which you should scan and email as a JPEG attachment to support@cakepoker.com. Although you may have provided this or similar ID is past we do not keep these documents on file so unfortunately you will have to forward it along again to our support team.

Just thought this would provide a bit more insight into things

I(US player) made a first time deposit at Bodog yesterday using Rapid Transfer(MoneyGram) and was credited $9.99 by Bodog for the $9.95 fee by MoneyGram. Bodog also credited me an additional 10% bonus for using Rapid Transfer so I got 20% bonus immediately and made $0.05 in change. And I can still try and collect on the 100% bonus w/in 30 days.

Additionally, I was told the first withdrawl of every month is free and each subsequent withdrawl costs $20. On a $2500 withdrawl, MoneyGram wants $52 according to MoneyGrams website fee tool. Bodog told me that it will still only cost me $20 total in fees and Bodog will worry about the discrepency. Anyone verify this? I'm wondering if a $2500 withdrawl ends up as $2448 and Bodog then credits the account with $32.

In the end no biggie, if I ever have to clear $5000 in a month I won't sweat the fee.

WOW. I tried that and everytime I flopped a set someone flopped a flush, a straight, or they hit a gutshot on the river!!!

I thought you would get an email within 24 hours and then you could just go get your money. I'll know soon. I just made a deposit via moneygram so I could start withdrawing via moneygram. Deposit was very easy.
