If I worked at Wal-Mart there would be no way in hell I'd cash a check that is like one you received. They're only supposed to cash payroll, tax, and government checks.

^^^ Probably best to try and cash at the bank on the check or just deposit it in your account. Those check don't take that long to clear.

I've been receiving payouts, weekly for the last 4 or 5 months, (at $3k per check), I expect to receive weekly checks for the next 3 months (based on 10 APPROVED payouts).

Here's my issue / question: All my checks have always come either from Canada or that Asian country, but they were always drawn through a US Bank (ie always a 9 digit routing number).

Today I received my weekly check, from the same Canadian processor, but for the first time ever, it was drawn on a Canadian Bank (No routing number, just the Canadian 8 digit Transit / Branch #).

Has anyone else received payouts that did not have a routing number? If so, how did your bank handle it (ie send out to collections, extra hold time, fees, etc?).

I drop all my previous payouts through a "no-envelope required ATM", and because of no routing number, the ATM would not accept this check.

Any advice would be appreciated.

On a side note, I'm a long time reader of 2+2, and this thread, and as for checks that were (are) bouncing from Bodog/Bovada, I can say that I've received several dozen large checks, and not a one has ever bounced.

I would take it to the teller. They might have to send it through collections (worst case). My bank says it takes 5 business days for a Canadian check to go through the process.

I think I just got the same check. I went to put it in the ATM and it said the item was rejected. I gotta to to a teller now, anyone with a check like this? How was it handled by your bank.? This is a check for approved date of 01/02/12, but I am still waiting for a check from 12/24.

Exactly the same situation here. The check I received was requested on 12/31 for $3000, and I'm still waiting for my check for $2997 from 12/24. I contacted supported that their reply was "we send out the largest checks first", huh? Previously, it was always "processed in the order received" blah blah blah.

Will be taking my check to the teller, which is not the route I wanted to go.

Will update later.

Still have 10 more pending checks, will update if those arrive drawn on the usually US bank or Canadian.

I can live with 5 business days for collections.

Did they charge a fee for this transaction?

(It's bad enough paying 4.9% to deposit, $50 to withdraw every $3000, but if there ends up another fee to deposit the check, I think I'll wind down, my very long relationship with Bodog/Bovada).

Just came back from my bank. Deposited the Canadian check (US dollars). The teller processed it EXACTLY like any US Check I've ever deposited.

No sending it for collection, no hold (standard availability: next business day), no fee, and no questions asked <---the biggie!

Will update if anything changes.

^^^ Glad it worked out for you. BTW my bank doesn't charge for Canadian checks that need to go through collections. I have an an account at a couple of the larger banks.

They told me my check from 12/24 wasn't processed yet due to the holiday season and their processors weren't working

It came with a paper to verify it and it also has a U.S. bank affiliate on it
You can't - that is what that paper says. Unless Walmart has started offering checking or savings account I assume you don't have an account that matches the name on the check to deposit it in.

How come no one is mentioning the money transfer option. Is that a viable option for players? How long does it approx. take? Also rapid transfer, is there a difference?

So kind of a funky spot...

I requested a $3k check in late September from Cake. I also requested a $3k check from Bodog on January 1st. On the 9th, I received an e-mail from Cake that the request was finally processing (which usually means 48-72 hours before delivery). I then received a check on the 13th. I initially assumed it was the Cake check, but the processor had more in common with recent Bodog processors. So now I don't really know for certain who got me the check and who hasn't...or if it happens to bounce, who I'd need to go to.

If Bodog had sent me recent tracking numbers, that would help my dilemma. I guess wait until early next week and if I haven't gotten it talk to Bodog.

Bodog (Bovada, actually) has started giving me FedEx tracking numbers again (last 2 months). You don't get tracking numbers in your messages?

you should still get a message with the tracking numbers, even if they come a week after you received the check

I know money transfer for bovada is western union, but what is a rapid transfer? I'm guessing it's not Western Union, but I assume it's some sort of cash payment

I used to almost all of the time. I feel like I never got a couple though.

That said, this prompted me to check my messages again just now to find that I have a tracking number. =) Supposedly will get it tomorrow...so that settles the uncertainty in my head.
