no not really. if you take a look around the forum. you'll see i've been attempting to just cash out funds i had at various places. something like 13 sites i had some money in. its a long story how i planned on doing this. i've been, i'd say %90 successful in getting all my money off. only waiting on one last check from a merge site.

last two years i've slowly lost interest in online poker. i played four years online prior to the last two. and considered myself a somewhat successful winning player. i was never a grinder, just played in my spare time. i never relied on poker winning as income. my wife and myself have decent jobs and live comfortably. with a young two year old son now, poker has definitely taken the back burner. and with the poker industry in my eyes falling apart for a US player like myself. about a month or more ago. i decided to just stop playing till some sort of legislation gets passed.

so the $8 left on bodog, was just going to be used for fun or bordom nights after my son goes to bed. bodog had always been good to me. so i figured leave a little in there, thats all.

The only reason it says that is they want to make sure its deposited in, and only in, YOUR NAME. They don't want you transferring it to anyone. There are many reasons for this. One major one is to make it as difficult as possible for police departments to do investigations.

I went to deposit the check I got from Bodog and the ATM machine said it "cannot read the check" WTF? The check is from an overseas bank and looks fake as hell, now my bank is saying they can't read the check.

I got my cashout by check in about a weeks time, pretty impressed with that. It was a check from Florida and I live in Michigan if that means anything. Just deposited today and so far everything went smoothly.

Step 1) Breathe
Step 2) Take it to the teller or deposit it via an ATM that doesn't read the check. The fact your ATM machine can't read it means nothing.

I've tried to deposit through 3 different atm machines and none of them could read the check. Never had a problem with any check via ATM before, so this check is no good or something. Still waiting for bodog to contact me

I always put them in the after hours drop box and I've never had a problem.

BofA ATMs seem to read the pokerz checks just fine.

Show Answer: How does a Deposit Image ATM read the amount on my check?

Each check contains account and routing numbers that are encoded with magnetic ink. The ATM reads the magnetic ink and then reads the amount by using Optical Character Recognition. Customers are asked to confirm the amount of every deposit. The ATM is not able to read checks printed on machines that do not use magnetic ink, such as home printers.
It is certainly possible a check from the 'pore wouldn't be readable.

Very good point. This is messed up though. The check already seemed fishy when I saw it, but I thought it would be ok. Now I gotta wait for support to see what's gonna happen. There wasn't any place on the back to endorse the check also.

stop spazzing out, an automated system couldn't read an international check.. fwiw I have no idea how the check looks "fishy" to you, since they all look like normal checks imo. Deposit it using a teller, or take it to the issuing bank and cash it, problem solved.

Issuing bank is overseas. The check is not a normal sized check, it's bigger than any check I've seen. Why should I take it to the issuing bank. The letter that came with the check said to deposit it into my account, that's what I'm trying to do. Anyone had this issue with bodog before? I did go to the teller window and when they ran it through the check machine thing, nothing happened.

I have received these same checks and have never had a problem.

So they emailed me and told me to deposit the check like normal, that's what I am trying to do.lol, The check is "unreadable" according to my bank (Chase). Now they say it's a $40 dollar charge to stop payment on the check and issue another one.

Unreadable even through deposit through teller? If the check somehow won't work out for you, Bodog support will definitely iron through this and get it resolved. They do the right thing in regards to player payouts it seems. At least with me and my friend that play on there. GL

I got one of these checks a few days ago. I deposited it through the ATM on Thursday night, and it posted to my account this morning (still need to wait for it to clear, however).

I just signed it on the back where I normally would endorse a check.

I bank with Chase also and got the same check you received. When in doubt take the check to the US bank that is on the check as I stated earlier. It's a wait and a fee but it cuts out the hassle with your bank.

stop trying to put it in the atm and just bring the damn thing inside. There is no way a cashier would say its "unreadable", that doesn't even make sense.

I don't see how canceling the check will do any good, your just going to get a similar check in a month.

Whats the difference between the rapid transfer and the money transfer option? Am I able to request these if I used a visa to fund my account?

I requested a bank wire on the 28th and got an email saying it was processed by the processor but still nothing In my bank. Anyone know how long it usually takes after getting the confirmation email or if they ever have any issues with bank wires?
