Yeah apparently the traffic is so high that a standard fee will take 2-3 days.I wish i could get confirmation that it will eventually go through, so i can stop checking and be patient.

Hey guys, sorry is this has been discussed earlier. About the bitcoin withdrawal process of Bovada:

-You request the withdrawal
-They say they will get back to you in 48 hours. However with no rates on the transaction being locked or agreed on.

Isnt this a sick exploitable spot for us(the players) to be in? given how swingy bitcoin rates have been. Is there any way around this?

With the price of BTC going nuts there's a ton of traffic on the network, forcing fees higher. You could try late night or over the weekend when trading volume is lower.

Honestly, Bitcoin is garbage. They should switch to a more efficient crypto. Litecoin, BCH, Dash.... **** almost all of them are faster, cheaper, and more reliable than Bitcoin.

Only if your on an all Crypto exchange. On kraken you can use USD for all pairs and ether for most. Also there's an exchange launching in the UK that will trade all pairs with BCH instead of BTC. I'm not bashing it's ability to store value, but as a transactional currency it's **** in it's present form.... Maybe the lightening network will solve these problems but implmenting that is pretty much just a science project right now

One way to crash the price of bitcoin is to not allow your customers to even use the coins.....

Yes, BTC is an absurd method of transacting for us. I made this argument loud and clear in this forum this past Feb/March when everyone was beginning to rave about it. Since then (and esp in the last ~2 months) the issues I highlighted have manifested so much worse.

Ludicrous network congestion is driving transaction fees and times far higher and longer than those of processing via CC (remember .. this was supposed to be one of BTCs strengths against "conventional" transaction methods).

The volatility of BTC (which is essentially one single, whacky stock) is so out of control the value of your "withdrawal" could be worth 10-40% less or more in literally minutes. I think most successful poker players would agree that they are just looking to get their hard-earned profits off the site without having to deal with more variance right outside the door.

Steam isn't accepting BTC payments anymore because of the headache essentially (fees, volatility). BTC simply no longer makes sense as a method of transacting peer to peer (in its current form). Mega investors and futures traders (the same folks who wrecked the world economy just a deacade ago) have taken BTC and turned it into something it was never meant to be - Hey, Surprise Surprise, those few folks with literally more money than they know what to do with win again. BTC is losing the practical properties and values that made it a good idea in the first place.

But don't ask or expect Ignition/Bov or any other site to stop using it. Whatever headaches come with BTC (for both Ignition and Players) are far less worse for Ignition than the migraine of having to try to skirt US banking laws/mandates under the UIGEA of 2006.

BTC was a massive blessing for them and other legit (financially sound, non-scammy) sites. For them, the cost-benefit ratio of BTC vs traditional transactions will always favor BTC.

Players are on their own in this crazy BTC bubble - including myself .. I'm not here just blindly ranting for no reason.

They should add an LTC withdrawal option. Sure, lots of people won't bother to use it, but it's much faster/cheaper and usually less volatile.

There's no reason I see why they wouldn't be able to do this.... Or dash, Monero, ether or any of them... But litecoin and ether make more sense since coinbase offers them and that seems to be the exchange most people here prefer for whatever reason...

On a side note, is anybody else's withdrawal taking longer than the usual 48 hours?

I just went beyond 48 hours a few minutes ago. Gonna assume it will go thru within next day...but it seems everyone is going through this right now?

Has anyone had one go through within a day or something this week?

Also, how about for deposits? I read that some people aren't receiving them in minutes like normal or even the same day currently?

Welp, mine just went through only about an hour after posting about it. Lol.

Looks like the 48-60 hours timeline is pretty much what to expect at the moment.

Maybe I couldnt make myself clear enough. My problem is not really bitcoins costly transactions or the waiting period. Its just not knowing what exchange rate my withdrawal is going to be processed.
The site can Choose to apply the highest rate within that 48 hours frame on your withdrawal.

Yes, we get your point, but it's not ignitions job to make sure you get the best Bitcoin bang for your buck.... All they have to make sure is the amount they send is the amount your withdrew at the time of the transaction. I understand the higher in price Bitcoin goes the less Bitcoin you get for your withdrawal, but if that's what you're interested in then be a trader.... I requested a max withdrawal on Wednesday, it hit my Mycelium wallet yesterday for the exact USD amount I requested... That's all that matters. Do I wish the withdrawal would have hit a few hours earlier when BTC price was $2000 cheaper so I could have got more coin? Sure, but that's not ignitions problem. In this instance I actually lucked out too because by the time the transaction confirmed the withdrawal amount shot up $250.

Ah got it thanks. One last question; why would we need blockchain on top of coinbase? I am clueless I know, never done this before...

Coinbase, along with kraken and Gemini are exchanges based in the US and are subject to the same laws as banks as far as online gambling. There's been several people who have gotten their accounts closed for withdrawing directly from ignition to coinbase, so just to be safe it's best to use an intermediary wallet when sending to your coinbase account.
