I use the bitpay prepaid debit card. Good up to 10K. If its over that amount I don't know. There will be better options soon. This is still an industry in its infancy.

I use Mycelium wallet for any poker transactions. It's easy to buy bitcoin through the wallet with your credit/debit card and then load directly onto poker from the wallet by selecting the deposit amount and scanning the QR code.

Then cashouts are sent straight to the Mycelium wallet by providing the bitcoin address. Once the cash out reaches the wallet I then go to the bitpay website, login and send the funds to my bitpay card by scanning the QR code. Money is there within seconds and ready for use.

Been away for awhile, hoping for some clarification on BTC withdrawal.

Couple Questions:

1) So I have the BP card, it is (was) quite convenient. I can't remember what happened exactly (this was about a year or so ago) but somehow xfering from blockchain to BP couldn't be done anymore. Another wallet was required or something. Can anyone expand on this and provide any updated information?

2) If I recall correctly there were new fees associated with using the BP card (at that time, that weren't previously there). Again, I don't remember the specifics - can anyone advise the "rake" for using the BP card nowadays?

BP card would be my preferred method for cashing out, any information appreciated.

Because new "protocols" were enacted for funds transfer to the Bitpay card, a list of wallets was posted on the Bitpay website that had the "protocols". Mycelium and Electrum were among the most popular. Blockchain didn't have the "protocols". Because Electrum had some recent hacks, some folks have shied away from them. The fees I've encountered from Electrum to the Bitpay card have been minimal in my case.

Same experience here on 2/20.

Has anyone been getting an error that goes something like this. Logged in, register for tourney, and then when table launches get an error box stating:

Improper account. Improper userID (or something like it)

Only way for me to get around it is to completely shut down and reboot. Usually costs me 4-5 hands. Killing me. Happens daily.

I also did one on the 23rd of Feb and still haven't received mine. This is the longest I have waited for a withdrawal via BTC. I might give it a few more days before I email them.

That and the Bitpay Wallet alleviates the issues. I do Bonition > BP Wallet > BP Card. Have since BP stopped using BC around 1.5 years ago.

I got an email from Bitpay saying they were doing some type of conversion on the BP card starting March 8th. It appears the card will still work as a debit Visa card, but all cash features will be disabled until further notice. Therefore no cash atm, no cashback on purchase, etc until further notice.

Hopefully the cash feature won't be down long as that was my main use of card in the first place.

Hi BitPay Card users,

Every now and then we'll reach out to you to let you know about big things happening with your BitPay Prepaid Visa® account.

Right now the BitPay Card is scheduled for a system conversion, including upgrades to improve the systems that support your card. During the time of this conversion (starting March 8th), cash back features such as ATM withdrawals, POS cash back and over-the-counter cash advances will be unavailable. This service interruption is unavoidable, and we will make every effort to restore these services as soon as possible.

During the conversion, you will still be able to use your card to shop with Visa® merchants online and in-person. You will also continue to be able to move funds from your card to other bank accounts via ACH transfer. View our guide to ACH transfers.

We value and appreciate your continued use of the Card. If you have any questions about this notification, please contact us at https://bitpay.com/request-help or call the cardholder services team at (855) 884-7568. We'll be reaching back out to you when cash back features are available again.

Best,

The BitPay Team

Not too sure what you mean. My deposits via card go through right away. Btw I’ve had 5 withdrawals since the beginning of the year and they have all been processed quickly. I like that I can deposit with my card, and get paid out with bitcoin. I’ve used the Bitpay wallet to transfer funds to my bitpay card since 2017. I just do a cash advance at the bank and there are no fees. Makes things easier, but during the cash services halt starting March 8th I will withdraw to bitpay then transfer to Coinbase and withdrawal via PayPal. Good luck...
