considering that I lost 3.5k in btc price swing this year and that selling btc less within one year is around 40% taxes I am starting to withdraw in check now. Yes it painful but I don't see any way around this without going the illegal route. Btw I have no problem with BTC withdraw whatsoever beside the one time I didn't receive the btc and took about a week to solve. Every other time btc is within 3 days.

Where do you get this 40% idea from? Granted I am not positive what country you are from but most (including US which has some super messed up tax code) allow for bitcoin to be used as an exchange. You will only pay that capital GAINS tax if the amount of bitcoin you withdraw is worth more in fiat when sold than when you withdrew it. Otherwise you pay the same tax as you would with a check, because it is part of your income.

Selling crypto on something like localbitcoins is also not illegal at all. The responsibility is on the user to report that income/sale as part of their earned income. Very much legal.

Maybe I have it confuse and need to recheck with tax attorney but getting pay in BTC thought that as an exchange you need to pay taxes if it is sold right away.

I am in WA, was able to deposit 25$ on my debit card as a test. Will I be able to cash out? Is bitcoin the preferred method? Would be pretty messed up if they allow me to deposit from WA but not cash out

Used to have no problem with the first debit card you mentioned, but switched to my credit card 2 years ago. Until today...My cc attempt got the message that that type of card was not accepted...I called and they said I should try again, but that it was declined due to international transaction. I told them that it wasn't declined as I had already checked with the bank. They never even processed it! She again just told me to try again. So I go over to ignition and got the same error. I then tried a different card and got a different message that flat out said it was declined. Leads me to believe that for some reason the first card, which I have been using with them for2 years now, was never declined. Both times and on the phone I got the sales pitch for bitcoin. Seems like they are both just trying to get away from cards completely and go to strictly bitcoin? So I go to the exchange and find out they no longer sell bitcoin with credit cards....so it looks like now it'll be back to the old debit card-exchange-wallet-bovada/Ignition, instead of cc-bovada/ignition directly.

Not Sure if you're in USA, Australia or somewhere else but in these 2 countries all tax paid on btc within first year is for the capital gains. so if you cash out 6500, sell at 6500, you pay no tax.

See Merge Deposit/Withdrawal Thread- post 12010 for Kahn's excellent insight on why sites are declining to accept credit cards now.

If you deposited on Ignition, you're OK. Bovada it seems does not accept Wa. players. See 1st post in Where can U.S. players play thread- top of forum.

I have a weird situation. Blockchain customer support is completely inept or doesn't like to respond to me lately since 3rd of July. Anyways can't access my account, so was wondering what would be my best method to withdraw from a poker site without a wallet? Do I just make a new blockchain account will my account be already verified? I know most wallets won't take on gambling transactions, so assume blockchain is one of the very few options withdrawing from a poker site. Thanks for the help

Gonna guess you didn't record your recovery phrases for your wallet. Just create a new one. It's your wallet after all. No verification needed unless you're going to use the wallet for more than sending/receiving/holding bitcoin.

Got really lucky playing slots and table games, and requested a max btc cashout after my first deposit on the site. Anyone know how long it takes for your first withdrawal? I hope it's soon so I don't try to play with my winnings! Thx.

Requested 7/10 10:30PM

Will update when I receive?

If you didn't deposit with the casino bonus and you're already verified, it should be very soon. Otherwise, you may have to upload your verification documents and complete the casino play through requirements.

Thank you, Saint. Tried again just now and it worked this time, lol. Guess they like me after all. A few days ago, I bought btc through a p2p site (do not recommend because of fees), deposited, and cashed out 1/2 max btc with approval in 12 hours. I can understand the sites hesitation in CC in-BTC out but if this is the reason cards are being declined, they should really rate their accounts and decide to accept/decline based on longevity/history of the player.

I'm an American living in Queensland Australia now. I have used both my bank debit card and my visa credit card to deposit on Ignition. I use their bank wire withdrawal straight to my bank account that is connected to both of those cards. You must withdraw at least $1500 to do this, and there is only one free withdrawal every 3 months. But this is okay to me as paying just a $50 fee for the financial transaction is not so bad. They are a business after all and other institutions would charge fees for such a service. My bank does not charge me any additional fees for these deposits or withdrawals.

Has anyone had success using the bankwire cashout option recently? Doesn't work with my bank anymore and looking for other bank options.

Any updates on Coinbase bans/suspensions?

If so, what are the other recommended exchanges to facilitate the BTC sale -> bank (ach)?

Recently came back to Ignition (Bovada) for the first time in a couple years. Made sure my first deposit back was a CC. Since I have requested a $10 withdrawal to BC (to test), and plan to send to Coinbase before I pump the depo's.

This is my first time using cypto, any recommendations or roadblocks to avoid are appreciated.

I hate and refuse (and can’t) use Coinbase anymore. Their support staff is the worst I’ve ever seen from any company in my life. Literally the worst.

I use Gemini and cashapp to buy BTC, mainly cashapp

I send to blockchain, and then to ignition.

Payouts I have them pay me to Gemini and deposit that to my bank.

I finally decided to cash out of bovada since I haven't used my account in a couple years.

After a month of submitting and resubmitting documents to verify my account and then having bovada turn down my bank for a wire transfer, I was finally able to get a wire transfer to my credit union. Only fee was $5 for international wire.

nice to hear that they scrutinized the withdrawal activity so heavily after an extended period of dormancy

Coinbase closed my account even though I always did my deposits or withdrawals though Blockchain.info as a buffer between Coinbase and the poker sites. This obviously isn't a foolproof method as some on here have suggested.. been using the SFOX banking option on Blockchain for the time being and haven't had a problem yet. Anyone have any other/better options for making a high volume of btc withdrawals from ACR/Ignition?
