Lmao 😂 my bad! But yes, BitCoin. That makes me feel a lot better. Kind of annoying having to wait a week for the bitcoin purchase to go through.

Thank you!!

Haven't played Bovada/Ignition for many years now. Wondering if you can still withdraw in the US via check. All I'm seeing are people using BTC to withdraw.

requested BTC withdrawal on 4/11

still nothing and of course BTC has gone up 20% while they hold my funds...ive noticed a definitive trend here.

Disregarding any general delays or mishaps...when BTC is on a run upwards, their cashouts always take minimum 3 days and they don't seem to be in any hurry to take the money out of your account. YET when BTC is on its way down you get you're money removed from account and paid to wallet in matter of hours.

Pretty lame.

There a correlation doesn't mean it a causation people seem to confuse the two. Could be that everyone else is trying to time a withdraw when the price goes up causing the system to slow down.

Just had a check. Slower than the old days but still within their stated timeframe. Got
it on the 14th business day from north.

while I see what you are getting at on a poker forum with tons of conclusion-jumping posts...I am not sure it applies here. I merely stated my observations about something that has happened repeatedly for as long as they've offered BTC cashouts. Fwiw, I cashout pretty regularly using BTC.

Of course nobody will have a big enough sample size of cashouts to prove one way or the other...that doesn't change the fact that I've noticed a clear difference in speed of BTC cashouts, in their favor, based on a well-defined BTC price trend.

they aren't idiots after all.

so I've never used this bitpay card to cashout from ignition before. Looks like to do so requires the creation of a bitpay wallet? Like, the card itself has no bitcoin address associated with it. Instead you have to link the card to an approved wallet. They happen to provide their own wallet software called BitPay Wallet, just like any other hardware non-cloud based wallet on your pc/mobile phone. The wallet has a BTC address though. So are the cashout steps as follows?

1) Ignition - cashout to blockchain.info wallet
2) Blockchain.info - send to Bitpay Wallet
3) Bitpay Wallet - send to linked Bitpay debit card

If the have any clue there is absoltely no incentive for them to try and trade/speculate on the exchange rate, when they can easily offset it in the futures...

If you're referring to the Visa Bitpay card, it won't accept transfers from Blockchain.info. They changed their "protocols" so that you need a wallet such as Mycelium or Electrum. EndTheFed has some great posts in this thread that help with setting up the Electrum wallet. From those wallets you would send directly to Bitpay card bypassing the bitpay wallet.

Ok, I ended up using the Bitpay wallet and was able to conduction the transfer using as described - Ignition > Blockchain.info > Bitpay Wallet > Bitpay Visa.

What I'm wondering is should I still use a 3rd party wallet between Ignition and Bitpay Visa or is it safe to cashout straight to my bitpay wallet

The Bitpay card's protocols wouldn't accept Ignition's transfers. It's always good to use a middle wallet between site and bank account/card.

Im talking about the bitpay wallet, it has a standard BTC address and can receive BTC from anywhere. The unique protocol which you refer to is the card itself only accepting transfers from specific wallets.

For btc withdrawals, Has anyone had an email arrive saying it was processed but not arrive after 3 hours past that email? I’m a little concerned because I usually get the funds almost right after that processed and approved email

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Update: it just arrived a couple seconds ago. All good. Just weird since they have always been instant or within 15 min of the approved and processed email but this time was over 3 hours

Crypto newb here. Coinbase requires text messaging to open an account. I do not have a cell phone, do not want one, nor will one work in the mountains where I live.

Is there a trusted exchange where I do not need a cell phone? Does using crypto require a cell phone? I have to drive a mile or more to pick up a cell tower.

Am I going to have to buy a cell and drive up the mountain just to withdraw?

Got my email about 11 hours ago and it just hit my account now. From my own personal experience if you request a cashout near the weekend it tend to takes longer but that may just be variance.

The problem is just about every exchange requires 2fa authentication which generally requires your cell number for them to text you an authentication code to log in to your account to verify its actually you. I believe you can download the authy app through chrome or another web browser and have the 2fa code sent through there but as ive never actually done that i dont know if that generates a number you could enter in as your phone number for your account on an exchange. Crypto itself doesnt require a phone. If you have a wallet online or on your computer (like electrum or blockchain) and had someone (cashing out from ignition or having a person you trust) send bitcoin to your wallet you could use it for depositing on poker sites or cash it out through a bitpay visa debit card. But without someway of having a number to set up your accounts 2fa code its going to make acquiring and selling bitcoin very difficult as your options are very limited.

Buying a cell phone in the mountains is a must when your only option to withdraw is via BTC.

Just buy the phone. Use BitPay wallet and connect your BitPay Visa card to your wallet.

I requested a withdraw last night at 11pm and the email dated my request for 4/23. There is no fee since it's my first one since January.

The BitPay Visa card transfer fees have been minuscule lately.

Good luck in the mountains bro.

Apologies in advance if this questions has already been asked a million times.

New to crypto and Ignition.

Which would be the better option for deposit/withdrawl? BTC or BCH?

Would someone be kind enough to explain the differences as they pertain to online poker?

Thank you in advance.

Same thing happening to me now... and this is the third withdrawal in a row where I get the processed email, and takes hours to get to my wallet. Funds are still in my Ignition balance.

I read this one another forum....

“Sportsbetting is going to be legalized in 3-4 weeks. Bovada transferred players to ignition "shell" next im betting ignition will be closing. There were once 2 companies named ultimate bet and absolute poker same everything but "weren't affiliated". Same **** as this and it all will come to light again i'm sure. Especially if i dont get my payout it's just the beginning.”

And on another.....

“re: Poker & Ignition Casino - Bitcoin Deposits not crediting
Cashed out on April 20th bitcoin. 775$ got an email @ 230 am saying I was paid but wasn't when i woke up at 8am. No its not a bitcoin error, or anything i have done. I have had cashouts with ease in the past but the past 2 weeks have had issues. They are about to exit the scene with everyone's money.”
