I realize bitcoin is awesome which is why I got set up to use it. But I'm wondering if that 6.38% is somewhat standard? For example, on a 3k withdrawl, that's $191 on the fee. On a 5k, it's $319 you are paying in fees. Since I'm new to bitcoin, I want to ensure that this is normal operating procedure before I proceed.

I understand playing poker in the United States, in the land of personal freedom and individual responsibility where citizens vote republican and against their own interests is a luxury that we shouldn't take for granted, but 6.38% on any withdrawal is ridiculous.

Check arrived shortly after I posted this and my bank cleared it about 2-3 business days after I sent it in. Overall pretty painless given how long it can be at other sites, how long it has been in the past. Good thing about getting a check is no more fees unlike when you need to convert btc into cash (however it's much more expensive to deposit not using btc I believe).

Coinbase is probably expensive. Try the bitpay debit card. try payeer where you can sell your coin to others looking to buy on the exchange there. Most places will have an exchange and charge less as to those that just convert it for you. Also each place prob has a fixed wire fee that that will be high percentage on a small cashout, but on a larger one minimal percentage.maybe 5$ flat. There are lots of exchanges and options out there, just search. Gemini I heard is good, you can even go on localbitcoins.com and get amazon gift cards lol. The possibilities are endless. good luck

Use GDAX, you can link your coinbase account and convert to USD for 0.25% fee, then withdraw for 0 fees. The only other fee is the BTC transaction (which is ~$1 in my experience, regardless of transaction size).

My Bovada account balance was at $19300 last night, withdraw for 9500 via BTC sent within 8 hours. But got an email saying they are closing my account on Oct 2 because I live in Nevada.I don't live in Nevada any more but have that as my address in my account.

So I called and asked to have my account verified so I can keep playing, they instantly blocked me from all withdrawals even tho the email said Oct 2. The lady on the phone is extremely unhelpful.

I will send my document to them today and update. Bovada on some fishy ****.

The lady confirmed I've been a player at Bovada for 7+ years.

This is how they treat someone whose been playing with them for that long.

For you idiots crying about BTC fees, where and how to sell them, cashout without losing money etc let me set the record straight for you noobs once and for all.

Have you ever heard of something called LocalBitcoins.com? It's a p2p marketplace exchange where you can sell your bitcoins. There are plenty of advertisements live today where you can meet someone locally and sell them your BTC for cash instantly. And don't use your middle of nowhere location an excuse... there's freaken people in Alaska who have ads up for Christ's sake. Now these buyers might want to pay .97 or .95 on the dollar so you will lose a little right? That brings me to my next point.

On localbitcoins.com under dashboard there's a little button that says create advertisement. Now make an ad and sell your bitcoins locally, do some investigating and see what others are charging. They probably sell daily and your just looking to cashout, so undercut him by a few percent and now your making more on your BTC than you would any other way.

The people you meet to buy your BTC will want to buy more later so make those connections and you will always have cash available to get.

If I hear coinbase in this thread one more time I'm gonna go crazy. There is absolutely no reason to use coinbase ever.

Yeah, I'll just sell my BTC on GDAX and wire it to my bank account for full price and pay a minuscule fee.

Bitcoin:
Requested 9/15 @ 8:15
Received 9/15 @ 12:45

I saw the massive Bitcoin correction yesterday and figured it was a good time to withdrawal and buy more Bitcoins. That on top of the fact that I am tired if the buggy software that freezes/crashes all the time. I wasn't playing much due to that, but I will probably redeposit if the software issues are fixed.

I requested a withdraw on the 14th, I am at 48hrs and have not yet received a cashout via bitcoin, it is the 1st time I hhave requested a withdraw this large but have regulary cashed out 4 figure withdraws that have always taken about a day, it is now about 48hrs, will keep 2+2 updated, I did contact them about the increased fees when I deposited but made no issue even though their explanation wasnt the best. I was at around 12k when I requested a max cashout via btc. I am now just waiting. Only reason I have any concern is the amount of the cashout and the unusual time when other people have posted later requests that have received their $ already. Either way will update when I am paid and I think btc fluxuation may have played a role...

I see Ignition has a new tactic to delay your withdrawal. "A previous bitcoin deposit does not have the required number of confirmations." I've gotten that message the last two times I've went to cash out. Nevermind the fact that they both had over 30 confirmations.

Not sure what they gain by delaying your withdrawal, probably best to give them a call

When BTC is low they have a lot to gain by delaying withdrawals until it goes back up... Happens every time

Yea that is def true, If you pay attention they always have btc priced in their favor when it comes to deposits also, But I have called and they say 72hrs wait is an estimation blah blah blah and to check my messages for when its approved, I was really hoping it would come yesterday at the low end as I had a feeling it would shoot up again, It was a 2500-3k$ benefit from 1 payout alone so you can def see why they might make the decisions they do. Either way Im happpy to have them but I like how many places pay you intantly lately and I hope they start doing the same soon.

No, it really doesnt "happen every time", and they stand to get freerolled if there arent significant short term gains

True that, ive never had them take more then 2 days before but if many people wanted to make money with btc and requested wd's they were at risk to take a big loss. Something like that could shut them down.

I cashout every 3 days. When BTC is on its way up, I get my money in no more than 6 hours. When BTC is low/going down it takes at least 48, usually 72-96 hours. This is over a decent sample, and others consistently report this itt as well. Whether you want to believe it or not is up to you, but to make the claim that they gain nothing by delaying our withdrawals is pretty dumb.

damn 72-96 hrs seems like forever, deposit a lot in there and hate when they lag givin it back, especially on weekends when i want to play and cant re deposit til wd is done

Also, what has btc been doing for the past 2 weeks? Theyre getting absolutely rekt if theyre holding out on ur cashouts in hopes of it going up, which, as i said earlier, is the obvious downside of trying to speculate on the market value with peoples withdrawals

The assumption that btc rises and falls short term in a predictable manner is a faulty one

TLDW: Want to deposit into Ignition, in future I want to withdraw, don't know best options, help needed

So I'm part of the Australian exodus from PS into other sites, I am unable to play on ACR for an unknown reason I just cant deposit. Playing micro-low stakes cash and tournament poker as a fun recreational player. So I have looked at and decided Ignition and Tiger are my two options. Tiger is fine I can deposit and they offer skrill and a couple means for withdrawal. Ignition I can deposit it was fine but they only offer three options cheque, wire and bitcoin.

Now cheque I'm really sussed about given im in Australia so it has a chance to take longer and get lost given it has to travel so far. Also i'm being honest and never actually cashed a cheque let alone know if Australian banks still take cheques haha.

Wire transfer seems fine, from what I understand same as my bank transfers I did on PS but this time I have to reach the 1500 min

Bitcoin- This is where I get confused because like Jon Snow I know nothing.
Firstly do I need to create a web based bitcoin wallet account if so Ive seen a few options but is there a best/safest one?
Then if I withdraw to said wallet does that stay as money or get changed to the equivalent bitcoin amount.
If it stays as money can I just transfer from the wallet to my bank account or if it does become a bitcoin from what I've read I need to sell that bitcoin on a market or to a person who transfers me money.

Seriously so confused I'd like to nail what my options are in terms of withdrawal before depositing so any and all help appreciated and TBH you're probably helping a tonne of other people like me out there so thanks from all us.
