Is there any horror stories of accounts being closed for this? And how are most people acuiring bitcoins? Just buying them through coinbase with steep fees or are there better ways?

Thanks in advance,
Search feature is your friend. I used the top one for main forum, search posts (bitcoin storage). I think you'll find your answer there. Side note. If I went back 10 pages, that would be a 1000 posts for me- 100 posts/page. If you're only set for 10 posts/page, then not so bad. If that is the case, you can change your posts/page by clicking My 2+2, then edit details, then edit options, then edit thread display options.

I added a fee higher than recommended and it even told me I was giving more than needed.. Zero confirmations so far

yea you need to ignore that warning by blockchain because it cost me like 24 hours when they said it was too much. I put 3 bucks for a 250$ withdrawal and it went very fast.. So try to put the fee around 10% of your cashout and you will get faster transactions.

While I know this is true when I go from an Ewallet to an exchange, (it has taken up to 8 hours for me before).. I've never had to wait for more than a couple minutes for funds to go from iginition to blockchain. Anyone else having this issue today/tonight?
Exactly what they told me as well, i.e. "..up to 6 hours". It's already been 3 hours and nothing--funds are out of Ignition but not in my blockchain wallet.

Just an FYI. **** the Bitpay card. I've been using it for a couple months now and have had many reactions from clerks to the fact it doesn't have a chip. "Haven't seen one without a chip in a long time!"

Today my card gets declined. I log on to see it had 4 fraudulent charges this morning and cleaned it out. Thankfully I only had $250 on there. Anyway, I call up Bitpay and they want me to individually contact each vendor and tell them it's a fraudulent charge, and if they are unable to help, then I can file a dispute that may or may not be accepted after 40-60 business days.

Also, all the companies are in India, guessing I'll have great luck getting them to send me back the money. No more Bitpay for me.

Thanks for the heads up. Sorry about your situation. Just cashed out from Carbon. Pending to bitpay card. There is also an inactivity fee after 90 days of no use. Hence, my cash out.

blockchain to coinbase has been a bit slower but I must say my last 2 coinbase to bank account transfers have been much quicker.

isnt it possible to get fraudulent charges on other cards as well? and who cares if the clerks comment about it not having a chip. do you have any idea or notion how the scammer got hold of your bitpay card? did you use it to purchase gas?

I have been having major problems with my withdrawals going back to November. For some reason, the cashier has not been accepting my mother's maiden name. Support has had me try different browsers, different computers, and even changing my mother's maiden name to something else as well as confirming that I am capitalizing the letters properly and what not. The end result is that I am never able to initiate a bitcoin withdrawal through the cashier. Instead, I have to make a phone call to support letting them know that I am making a withdrawal and then send an email with my bitcoin address and amount. When it works properly, this turns a less than 24 hour bitcoin withdrawal process into a 3-4 day process. When it does not work properly, I have to wait a few days and make a few calls to support only to find that the withdrawals team never received my information. I then have to start the process over again and wait 3-4 more days to hopefully receive my withdrawal.

Additionally, I was "hacked" in late December. Someone made a max withdrawal request using a gmail version (I do not use gmail) of my email address. For example, if your email were john184@aol.com, the hacker simply created a john1984@gmail.com address. The hacker made the bitcoin withdrawal request by email claiming the same problem that I have been having... that the client was not accepting my mother's maiden name and that phone support had asked him to request the bitcoin withdrawal by email. He almost succeeded... fortunately I noticed the message from the withdrawals team confirming my max withdrawal and was able to call phone support and stop the withdrawal. The customer service rep read the email that the hacker had sent to me and it was simply a rewording of the typical emails I had sent. But here is the thing... I have shown no other signs of being hacked other than this bogus bitcoin withdrawal. My theory is that someone in support who had been processing my withdrawal emails either attempted to make a bogus withdrawal on their own or had a friend do so.

Back to today... I am now at 5+ days since my last bitcoin withdrawal request by email (since again... I cannot use the cashier due to the mother's maiden name glitch). I knew that this withdrawal was having problems because I only received a reply from customer service telling me that they had forwarded my request to the withdrawals team. But I never received the usual email from the withdrawals team. 4 days ago, 2 days ago, and today I have called phone support letting them know that something was wrong. In all cases, they have told me over and over that everything is fine and to wait another 48 hours. They have also repeatedly lied, for example by "confirming" that the withdrawals team does indeed have the information. Today, I asked to speak to a supervisor. He was giving me the same story, but did manage to contact the withdrawals team. 30 minutes into the phone call, he confirms my suspicion that the withdrawals team never received my request. I had been being lied to. He then asks me to submit another withdrawal request and start the whole process over. I explain that I have to make my requests by email and go through a very long process to make a bitcoin withdrawal. He says he will submit the withdrawal request himself to make sure it goes through using the information from my email. Hopefully this works, but I strongly suspect that I am going to continue experiencing problems with this withdrawal request.

In the past, I have asked if I can simply start a new Ignition account since they seem unable to fix the mother's maiden name glitch for me. They have told me that I cannot. They also have told me that there is no way for them to fix the problem and that I must simply keep making my withdrawal requests by email which often does not work very well.

Between the software and disconnect issues over the last year, the attempted hacking, my inability to withdraw normally, and the recent changes that have made it very difficult to play LHE on Ignition, I may be completely done with Ignition despite the good games. Very frustrating

So now a new issue. My four days "pending" transaction funds finally appeared back in my blockchain wallet yesterday. So I raised my fee and sent it again yesterday. When I left work yesterday, it was pending. Now, today, I can't even log in to Blockchain, it's like it's constantly loading, it doesn't show my balance in the upper right and I have no transaction history despite multiple transaction. It shows my status as signed in as i have a "sign out" option. Finally, I never got a transfer receipt email from Coinbase as I had on previous transfers. I've tried logging in to Blockchain multiple times in the last 10 hours, no luck. Pulling my hair out...

My transfer has been pending for four days as well. However, it has not transferred back to Blockchain. Just shows "pending" with 0/3 confirmations.

Hi, guys.
I recently did my first withdrawal via bitcoin. Like everybody else here when I went to send it from block chain to coin base on may 15th it pended for a couple days then just dissappeared.

Finally in good news on may 20th the money ended up back in blockchain. I resent it today with a little higher fee and it processed in 20 mins. Just wanted to let u guys know there is hope.

I am currently on 48 hours since the approval email for a small withdrawal and still nothing. I have seen a few posts regarding this as usually the BTC hits instantly after the approval email and the money is taken out of your ignition account. Called twice and was told originally that it takes up to 6 hours then that with delays it could take a day. Now running up on 48 hours and I feel like calling will just get the same robot response from customer service. I have not seen that many posts so wanted to drop one myself and see if my issue is isolated or if anyone else is running into this. Thanks.

Do you raise fees only from sending money from Bitcoin? Is it possible to raise fees from ignition so that I can be sure to receive my withdraw?

I recently withdrew ignition > blockchain. The withdrawal was processed and hit blockchain wallet within a few hours.

I didn't touch the funds and later that day logged in and the funds were gone. There is also no transaction histories detailing any deposits to the wallet anymore.

The withdrawal vanished. Hoping it reappears in the next few days but I have no recourse as I just created a randomized wallet address for the withdrawal and didn't jot it down. Stupid, I know.

Your wallet ID is created by Blockchain, not randomized by you. Shouldn't you be able to see the bitcoin address you submitted on your Ignition withdrawal page?

Only if you process cash outs at Ignition.

Yeah, I didn't create the actual address. I just mean i used to copy address to clipboard button (which generates new secure wallet addresses for you) in order to withdraw.

Any type of transaction history within ignition seems to not include the wallet address. Nothing in my email or ignition inbox including wallet address either.

I called support and they were able to give me the first 6 and last 4 characters of my wallet address only. Now I sent that to blockchain support with an explanation.

So strange to me that the funds were in my wallet clear as day - with the proper corresponding transaction info below - and now anything to do with the transaction is just 100% vanished.

I've been waiting on a blockchain --> bitpay withdrawal for over 24 hours with no confirmation. Probably because the fee wasn't high enough (just did whatever the blockchain amount was) since a lot of you seem to be having a similar issue so do I just have to wait until the funds eventually go back to my blockchain?

One of two things will eventually happen. It will eventually confirm, or return to your wallet. As I posted in the Merge Deposit/Withdrawal thread on Friday, I sent to bitpay card from Blockchain. I clicked on Advanced Send on Send screen and it indicated the miners fee was set for 2 blocks, 20 minutes confirmation. So, I didn't increase the miners fee. Bitpay card stated transaction pending with too low a fee. It may not be picked up by Bitcoin Network. If it wasn't, it may return to my wallet 48-72 hours later. But, it landed on my bitpay card 16 hours later. Takeaway is to increase the miners fee no matter what, to ensure network picks it up in a timely manner.

OK. I don't know if your situation is the same as what's happened a couple times before. With Blockchain, you may have created a second wallet within Blockchain. If so, that may be where your transaction is located. I'll try to find EndTheFed's posts regarding that. Posts #26081 #23845.
