Rec'd payout check (North) within 4 days of request (a record for me) - deposited check 10/8/13.

Just rec'd this "pay-out check" returned from my bank; indicating that the check was being returned to me because "the account was closed." (the Bovada account that is)......

I called Bovada CS and was informed that I needed to fax them the letter I rec'd from my bank and then, they would cut me another check......I guess, I'm going to eat the fee charged by my bank for Bovada's bad check....

I never had a problem with my first payout from them about 10 mos. ago.

I hope that this is just a hiccup and that I actually will receive a "good" check, as they stated.

stop and shop is best in my area. they were able to give the full amount in cash. Id use the major grocery stores seem to handle WU the most and have more cash available than smaller places.

I always call ahead and ask if they have enough cash. there's a place called travelex near me that does foreign currency exchange and they also do wu receiving. most sketchy corner stores don't have 2k in cash. I also don't wanna receive 2k in cash at a sketchy corner store anyway. also check kmart/walmart. good luck

here is my story. So this is my 5th time getting a check from bovada. i had no problems in the past until my oct 2nd check request. I received the check on the 10th and deposited it that day. Only to look at my email saying the check was invalid due to a printing error. so I received the replacement check the next day and told my bank that the first check was invalid. I had to pay a 12 fee for the bad check being returned. I then deposited the replacement check the next day and all seemed well because the teller asked no questions. then i get home and get a call saying they are going to hold it and make sure it comes back good (im guessing the means they sent it into collections). I got a letter from the bank on friday with a copy of the check and why they sent it for further review. will update when or if i actually see the money

in ny if it's a large amount i go to the check cashing places that have wu since they always have a lot of cash on hand plus who doesnt want to have to wait in line behind people adding 30 dollars to their boost mobile cards.
for something less than 1000 i would just go to stop and shop wu.

Kroger, if they dont have enough money on hand they will tell you a Kroger that does

but definitely spaceeeee out any w.u. withdrawals or youll get blacklisted by w.u.
