what are the best sites to play ring games with cryptocurrencies- BTC/ETH?

Right now, SwCPoker (Windows only, all games) and NitrogenSports (web client, NLHE) are the best sites for playing with BTC. Neither of them have a ton of traffic. There's not currently a good site for playing with ETH - you can I think deposit on WPN with ETH but it converts it to USD.

There are also a bunch of tiny sites using the PokerMavens software to offer games in BTC, but I don't recommend them.

There are a couple of new BTC launches coming up - notably, UltimateBit starts their beta soon on the Connective Games software that BetOnline uses. But in general there's very little liquidity in the native cryptocurrency poker market right now. If you want to follow this I recommend the Gambling forum on bitcointalk.

Are you looking for sites that are pure crypto, i.e. sites where you deposit, play, and withdraw solely in BTC or ETH?

I would appreciate some help and/or information on which Bitcoin wallets work the best for getting money on and off poker sites.

I am a US based player and play mainly on the WPN network and whichever network Intertops/Juicy Poker are on.

My preference would be for a wallet that's free to set up and doesn't charge fees for deposits and withdrawals.

I've done a fair amount of research and the whole arena seems a bit murky at the moment as to what the different types of wallets offer.

I don't think you understand what a wallet is. A wallet is just a program that sends and receives Bitcoin. What you're looking for sounds like it's an exchange, and in the US by far the easiest one to get USD on and off of is Coinbase. But you should only use it when changing USD to BTC and vice versa. You'll want to get a wallet of your own to do native BTC transactions. Easy wallets are the online wallet at blockchain.info, or the downloadable client Electrum.

You won't find an exchange that doesn't charge fees for their services, and you won't find a wallet that doesn't use transaction fees because they're a fundamental part of the Bitcoin network.

^ Said everything just about perfectly, I had issues when trying to find one as well with it being confusing and such to start. Both Coinbase & block-chain are super simple in my experience compared to the others out there and fees are pretty minimal.

I'm confused how u play at the tables with btc. what are the buyin amounts and stuff?

a normal lobby runs your .05/.1, .25/.5, 1/2, 2/4 etc, how is it displayed on an entirely btc site?

The stakes are fractions of bitcoins. So .5/1 100bb will be 1/10th of a bitcoin. .5/1= around 570NL at the minute.

probably a dumb question, but when withdrawing from a site, should I still use a intermediate wallet if I use Kraken (as I would with Coinbase)

The "major" sites denominate chips in mBTC, which is 1/1000th of a BTC. So a 2/4 table is about $11/$22 right now.

Some of the newer sites are using smaller fractions, like 1/100000 or 1/1m BTC.

Just curious when you guys cash out into bitcoin, do you then let your poker bankroll sit in bitcoin, or do you take it out so your poker bankroll remains the same and doesnt fluctuate?

Trying to decide what is the best thing to do with my poker bankroll that I dont leave on the site.

It would all depend on where you think Bitcoin is going to go, as well as how risk averse you are.

I keep mine in BTC. Even if it weren't for generally feeling more confidence in BTC (and like everything else) than USD right now, paying the transaction fees to get it in and out would suck.

Very new to bitcoin and searched this thread as well as the dedicated Bovada one but didn't see any mention of this.

If I create a paper wallet, and plan to sit on the coin for awhile rather than get it out immediately, is there any reason that I wouldn't want to, or wouldn't be able to, withdraw directly from the poker site to the paper wallet?

Yes, this would be possible. The only inconvenience from using a paper wallet this way is it's a bit of work to sweep the private key when you want to spend. But for long-term, this is not much of an issue

How long are transactions taking from CB to BC today? I made a deposit hours ago and still don't have one confirmation. I tried to increase the fee but didn't see an option to do so. Thanks in advance for any information.

I took a ~$20 hit going from BC to BitPay. I did pay for a priority fee and the money was in my Bitpay account in less than one second. I don't mind paying for convenience, just wondering is this is normal.

Best ways to cash out a large amount of BTC to a US bank or skrill as a US customer? I have kraken and it has taken months to get verified for tier 3... lighting is bad, not all 4 corners etc

Coinbase I hear you can't really cash out a serious amount of BTC to your bank? So besides p2p trading is there any legit way to cash out 10k+ worth of BTC to your bank or skrill?

You could see what is available to you at Local Bitcoins. You could try searching for a local Bitcoin ATM. You could just spend the bitcoin on goods and services and help the Bitcoin economy grow and proliferate.
