Betonline (BOL) stealing 15K from me

I'm going to try to make this as brief and concise as possible but i cant promise anything, anyway I appreciate the effort any 2+2 members put into reading this. A few months ago i made a deposit on betonline, ran very well and made a bit.

Soon after that my account was under-review. However, once they found no excuse to steal the money i had won they resumed access to my account as normal (after about 20 emails to them and sbr and countless phone calls).

I was unable to transfer funds from my sportswallet to my poker wallet at this point since they were having 'technical difficulties" so i made 2 WU withdrawals for 2.5k each at their extortionate WU charges which i managed to receive.

Since I was only able to make 1 of these 2.5k max withdrawals via WU a week i decided to request a larger bankwire for 15k usd to my bank account which was immediately approved. Over a month has passed since and i received nothing.

I was assured from over a month ago that the money was sent etc but they were nevertheless unwilling to provide details entailing corresponding bank and swift number (I am in the UK). My calls to them are now being ignored as they put me on hold for half an hour+ every time i ring them.

I have contacted sbr today regarding this issue but have yet to receive a response.

I sincerely hope to be the last person betonline attempt to steal money from, as far as I am concerned their domain should be shut down and i will not put this issue to rest until I receive my withdrawal or until their domain is shut down. This is absolutely unacceptable, nobody is above the law wherever they may be based, they have escaped the consequences of treating players with disregard for long enough.

I am not the only person who betonline has tried to con, a moderator on 2+2 who i will not name unless they decide to come forward is also having issues with betonline. furthermore they have tried to steal over 50k from another individual. I hope this issue is given the press it deserves and I appreciate any responses you guys have to offer.

My sn on there is N3V3RLOSE
I am willing to provide emails at your request in addition to answering anything I may have been vague about.

This is getting ridiculous, hope you get your $ back OP.

I had to read Bovada the riot act before they would send me my money, which was 4 months late

Thanks, it really is becoming absurd and they'll keep doing it until somebody forces them otherwise. Its not just about the money, I genuinely can't stand the thought of another person being misled by these characters again. The same person answering the phone with a different name each time thinking they're working a clever angle is tilting enough, let alone everything else they do..

You might as well start it here, in the correct forum. It'll be moved here, anyways!

completely agree, i posted in NVG originally but it got moved here, regardless this issue really needs a lot of attention to put a stop to this once and for all, betonline need to be shut down for good and their domain removed.
They try and run their obvious angles thinking people actually believe their names are 'DC', 'Joel Weiss' 'Dustin Hill' 'Dave Mason' with the same person acting like there are 20 of them there with these blatently fake names, and the most unprofessional pre-recorded message I have ever heard, the whole company is a joke and needs to go ASAP, I'm thinking of consulting a soliciter as to file a case regarding the removal of their domain, i dont care how much it costs betonline need to go and their management needs to be prosecuted for fraud as well as other counts similar if not worse than full tilt i am sure they are guilty of. The fact that they are still able to run their scam is tilting enough as it is. To be honest, i dont think it would be very difficult with the amount of dirt there is on them. How are they recommended by SBR? If im not heard by SBR, then there is somthing obviously going on there which would in turn completely undermine sportsbookreview as a legit source for sportsbook regulation.

As if their payment department is some distant entity, they think its a great angle to just keep you waiting, post all the details here, its good to see everything they've done in one place, we can always post again in another thread TC makes in NVG

Your dealing with a Panama business that 15 mins worth of research would have told you they were going to screw you. What the heck can the DOJ do for you?? Same thing they did for Stars and FT when they went to them id presume.
If you want any shot at your money google them and find every site they advertise on and bombard them with complaints. Use Scam book and Will NOT Pay in every post title and when they ban ur i.p. use another one. I can give you a few sites to start with besides the known scam site SBR who will never do a damn thing to help you but take all the credit if they hear you got paid.. P.M. me if u want a few sites to get started with, i cant list them here or ill risk the ban hammer...

being based in panama does not give you a license to steal if you are operating any sort of online multi-national operation. The issue is regarding having their domain seized and putting bol out of buisness which is fundamentally what needs to happen. What they have done is inexcusable and being based in panama just wont cut it as a good enough excuse for me as im sure its not for all of the other victims of bol's antics.

An update to the situation, spoke to betonline on the phone to somebody by the name of sophia, she gave me the same 3rd party excuse that the money has been sent to the processor etc etc and informed her of the situation via 2+2 that we are all investigating and exposing their scheme for what it really is

it absolutely amazes me that people deposit on poker sites before researching them on 2+2. gl op, i hope you get your money. there's been 1-2 other players that eventually got paid after making a lot of noise about it on the forums.

Thanks shaq, I will do my best to ensure that betonline wont receive another penny if im not paid. There is a lot more crap surrounding BOL than when i first depositted, regardless what they are doing is breaking the law, under no constitution is theft legal, and it is most certainly intolerable for a company operating an online business

re: Betonline stealing 15K from me

found this on wikipedia under Betonline, very troubling to read...

BetOnline is a fraud site that operates by banning the accounts of players who win too much money, or logging into them and pretending they were hacked by someone knowing the player's user ID and password. They have also issued bonuses to players with rollovers that are impossible to clear ($30,000 in rake or more), and do not allow players with such bonuses to withdraw until the rollover clears. They are not licensed by any government regulatory body, but instead operate as a corporation in Panama.[4][5][6][7][8][9] BetOnline also claims to be an independent site, but it is part of the Action Poker/Chico poker network, known for slow-paying and defrauding their customers in a similar manner, but which does not accept U.S. customers.

Tha sounds pretty much accurate, these places need to be shut down, there isnt a state on earth where theft is legal. This wont go on forever, it just needs to be pushed.

In October 2009, Joseph J. Fafone, one of the co-developers of BetOnline, was arrested at the Greater Rochester International Airport on charges of bookmaking. Fafone had $23,000 in cash with him. He pleaded not guilty. Online gambling sites operate in ambiguous legal territory. They may accept wagers legally, if such activity is allowed in the country of operation, in this case Panama.[12] Nevertheless, in the event of a U.S. Department of Justice action, assets held by BetOnline would be subject to seizure and forfeiture.

like i said their assets can be seized by us authorities its just a matter of getting it pushed, you can all view their wiki page here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BetOnline

If there's been a real rash of these lately with this specific site, then it moves into the category of "big news" and could go into NVG.

The default is usually to move any NVG threads that involve complaints about any online site straight here, so it's hard for the NVG mods (unless they read IP religiously) to keep track of what sites have a lot of complaint threads.

Mike, I trust your judgement - if you think this has gotten serious enough, go ahead and start (or have one of the victims start) an NVG thread. Just give me (and maybe PP) the HU so we know there's a serious problem and don't snap ship back here.

re: Betonline stealing 15K from me

I think there is more going on here than what there appears to be.

Betonline's poker room is a skin that allows its players (including US players) to play on the Chico Network (formerly Action Network) and currently NONE of Chico Network's players have been paid for over several months now. Chico's excuse for not paying its players is "weakly" explained in the following emails to its customers...

Quote:
Dear valued player,

We thank you for your patience awaiting your payouts during the transition of ownership between Ecom Enterprise NV and Julian International Holdings Inc., and wish to inform you that your payment will be made in due course. All customer balances and pending payouts will be honored by Julian International, who will initiate the payments shortly.

Julian International Holdings Inc. have taken over the network operation and have moved the Chico Poker Network to their server park in Curacao, effective immediately. Both parties express their excitement about completing the deal and look forward to the network's continued success.

If you have any questions in regards to your pending payout, please contact the payments department at cashier@chicopokernetwork.com

Best Regards

Payments Department
The ChicoPoker Network
Quote:
Dear valued player,
Thank you for contacting us.

We apologize for the delay in your payout and ask that you be patient a while longer.

As you are aware, our operations have recently been acquired by Julian International Holdings, Inc (JIH).

JIH unconditionally guarantee past and future payouts. However, please note that there is a sizeable backlog of pending payouts which are being run through various fraud checks, prioritized and fulfilled per contractual agreements.

JIH wish to assure you that as soon as the backlog is complete, all payouts will resume normally.

If you have any questions in regards to your pending payout, please contact the payments department at cashier@chicopokernetwork.com

Regards,
Payments Department
The Chico Poker Network
In all likelihood, the Chico Network has become insolvent and is now freerolling while continuing to accept deposits from players. This would explain why Betonline isn't allowing its customers to transfer funds to/from their sports betting wallet to/from their poker skin wallet and why Betonline is refusing to make payments on any of their poker accounts.
