I opened a new account at Betfair and deposited 1000€.
Before the deposit everything looked fine and I thought Betfair was a trustworthy site (it was a couple of years ago when I played there).
That was on July 9th.
My account got suspended immediately AFTER my deposit. So I sent in all documents as I have at least 15 times before for other sites. Nothing happened for a couple of days and I didn't get any message from them. So I asked in chat. They just told me my documents weren't accepted (none of the three documents that were accepted EVERYWHERE else) but they didn't tell me why.
So I made new pictures and sent in more documents. That was 2 weeks ago. In chat they told me, they are usually verified within 24 hours, then within 3 days, then within one week and now it is just "in the queue".
I never had problems like this anywhere and have no explanation for it.
Is Betfair a scam now?

You opened a second account and surprise surprise it's suspended.

My last account was opened when I lived in London or before (10 years ago).

I didn't remember that I had one, when I opened a new one. I understand it's a problem, but they could have just told me. At least they should give me my money back.

They just do nothing and keep my money.

Now that you've suddenly remembered you had an account with them for about 8 years, you should tell them you forgot you had it, and ask them to move your new deposit over to it.

They might not believe you, but it might speed things up if they accept the excuse for apparent attempted multi-accounting.

What kind of replies are these? I really don't like the tone. I never cheated or did anything suspucious at any site.

I didn't play for 8 years. Just wanted to check how tables are nowadays at Betfair.

Edit: I also told them immediately that I might (!) have an old account with them! On July 9th. Unibet and PS actually forced me to open a new account!

That's what they tell me since 2 weeks. But only if I ask them in chat. I got 0 emails or calls.

I went throught this process many times and it never took more than 24 hours I think.

Did you ever use responsible gambling tools on your old account?

Remember, Betfair want your money. If you send in docs correctly you will get verified. They're not happy with something. You're saying that's the documents?

Also, if you've been abusive in any way that can slow the process. I'm not saying that you have btw.

What are responsible gambling tools? I used PokerTracker and was a high stakes HU-Player.

I don't really think they would scam me for 1,000€, but this feels very strange. Also I didn't find any way to contact them via email or phone, just through chat.

My documents are perfectly fine and I wasn't abusive, but after contacting them for one week I wasn't super friendly in one of those chats. Nothing serious and I have been friendly since then.

They won't scam you, rest assured.

Responsible gambling tools are things like self exclusion, deposit limits, etc.

Verification is getting super stringent now. If your documents are perfect then your frustration is understandable, but how they see them might be different, as it's subjective, so maybe try sending some different documentation in.

I was a bit scared when I found out that they are not regulated in the UK any more for non-UK players.

But if noone else has problems I guess I will just wait until they let me cashout. I won't play there obviously.

I guess you can always contact your bank and make a chargeback, but that will forever ban you on betfair and related skins.

Thanks, I will contact them via email and phone first. Didn't find that page. And the chat always told me there is no direct way to contact them (verification team) via email.

It seems you cannot make a chargeback for a regular bank transfer.

So I can only wait...

Have you tried the Message method at https://helpcenter.paddypower.com/app/contact_us/, found by Google search of paddypowerbetfair.com?

And searching for "e-mail" there finds customersecurity@paddypower.com, which looks quite apt.

Edit: Just try to make general contact for a Betfair Poker matter before giving any personal/private information.

Today my account shows 0,00€ and a withdrawal was made. Hopefully I will have my money back soon.

Still no communication whatsoever. No way for me to reach them and zero emails from them. Chat support told me it's "in queue" like robots.

I don't wanna know what happens if you win big on that site.

Looks like not only the games got tougher. Pokerstars has almost zero rakeback (needed 320,000 points for my second black chest) but at least I never had any problems with them.

If you only have one account like you are suppoused to have nothing is going to happen.

I wouldn't trust them any more, but ok, if you do.

1. You broke their terms and conditions

2. They did not punish you in any way and still paid you

3. Even though you broke the rules and they still paid you, they are not trustworthy

I had an account which I hadn't used in 8 years. Unibet and PS told me I HAD TO create a new account. So I didn't really think about the fact that I might have had an old account at Betfair when I lived in England.

It's not like I could have gained anything from it.

They kept my money for almost a month without any communication. Still don't have it in my bank account.

Ok, I got my money back now. Thanks to everyone that tried to help.
