It'd have to be on different computers (not sure if against the TOS though), as you can only have one instance of the program open per computer.

Just get sandboxie and run one of them in a sandbox and you can open both clients at same time. Obviously you can't sit at the same table at same time.

Is your balance held in btc or $$?

Is hm1 supported?

In broad strokes: how soft is Betcoin?

I have some BTC for... that other thing you can do with bitcoin that I might spend. Looking at some posts by bitcoin "believers" makes me think playing on a a BTC-only site could be very profitable given the self-diagnosed intelligence of a bunch of libertarians.

It's a bitcoin poker site, so it's held in btc.

Not sure about hm1, but hm2 works.

Plenty of NL games, a few PLO games, and that is it for cash games.

When traffic was slower I managed to get some 3/6 and 5/10 (chips) LHE and Stud/8 to run, mostly hu. Nothing bigger than that, but then I had like a 2 btc bankroll at the time so I wasn't trying.

What is up with this site? If I try to download the client, I get through installation and try to run it, the udpater window pops up (checking for new version), makes it to downloading scenes/lobbies, then disappears and nothing happens. I noticed that it just randomly deletes the Betcoin application out of my c:/Betoin Poker folder, so there's no application to run, I just have to re-install (at which point it does the same thing again of course).

At a loss as to why the **** that would be happening, I tried to fire up the web client and met with similar results. I try to register for one of those $10 on demand freerolls and this little "waiting for money" popup comes up and... that's it, forever. Just waiting for money. For a freeroll. Why doesn't any of this work?

Strange. I've noticed that it's hard to connect from certain networks such as a public wifi spot or something maybe because of private firewall. Other than that it should work just fine. Definitely try the client again or on a new pc see if same thing happens. A lot of times certain networks block it.

See if a WPN skin works, if betcoin doesnt work then WPN skin like black chip or ACR shouldn't work either.

Actually I play on ACR a bit, works fine. Unfortunately I don't have access to any secondary computers to try it with.

So your balance is held in BTC but you buy into the games with $$usd?

When you buy into a mtt is the value of your btcs instantly converted? How about when you cash in a mtt?

Very odd this site still taking Bitcoin deposit..... and from Virwox you can deposit on site with Debit card, no waiting with bitcoin wallet or more fee's to get bitcoin in poker account, all I have to do is give Virwox bitcoin address and deposit and bam money in your poker account in less than two minutes, I love it.

You have a BTC balance. If there is a $10 mtt, it debits $10 of btc from your account. If you cash for $20, you get $20 worth of btc added to your account. Cashouts are under 24 hours.

So your wallet balance is consistently rising and falling with the value of BTC?

The value of bitcoin fluctuates every second.
Its all relative tho, since you originally deposited a certain amount of bitcoin.

For anyone who is curious about what wallets to use, there are several options but IMHO i would recommend these:
Blockchain (the official bitcoin wallet)
My Celium (great mobile wallet for smart phones)

Another poster mentioned using Coinbase wallet, and i would HIGHLY advise against this.
Coinbase is great, but dont use their wallets for gaming sites.

Another person mentioned using Virwox.
Virwox has some of the highest conversions fees in the business.
Use them as a last resort.

So far im very happy with Betcoin as a US player and look forward to playing there in the future.

If anyone has any questions regarding bitcoins, please send me PM and i will be more than happy to help. (Ive been involved in bitcoins since 2011 and have set up companies with opportunities to accept bitcoins as an alternative payment)

No.

Say that today 1BTC = $200 USD. You go to Circle.com and buy 1BTC and send it over to BetCoin. Your balance is 1,000 chips.

Tomorrow the value of BTC goes up. 1 BTC is now $250.

Your balance is still 1,000 chips.

The next day it drops rapidly, and 1BTC is now $100.

Your balance is still 1,000 chips.

This is what we call FOREX - foreign currency exchange. Once you convert the USD to BTC its not USD anymore, and the value of USD is irrelevant UNTIL you convert back to USD.

As it happens on betcoin, that's every time you buy into a tournament, but NOT every time you buy into a cash game.

As someone explained above you do not buy into mtts with "chips." Which is why im confused.

Your btc is instantly converted to the usd equivalent and your bought into the mtt. Same with cashes your payout is in usd and instantly converted to btc equivalent.

Is this correct?
