Betcoin Poker recently began sharing players for tournament play on the WPN network.

Account funds held in bitcoin only, correct?

Are all WPN tournaments available to Betcoin players? All SNGs?

Are WPN network-wide promotions available to Betcoin players? (For example, the standard VIP program, The Beast, Sit&Crush?)

Will WPN cash games become available?

Half of those questions can't be answered.

Thanks. Can you say why the others can't be answered?

When you buy into a WPN tournament (in US Dollars), a conversion rate from bitcoin is given. Are the prizes from that tournament converted back at that same rate or at a possibly new rate (depending on the market)? Same question for when you might unregister from a tournament.

Are there any other deposit/withdraw methods or just BTC/LTC?

Are player-to-player transfers allowed? Across skins?

Does Betcoin use the same software as WPN?

Support told me that Mac client was right around the corner, does that sound right? If it's the same software as WPN, maybe not so soon?

Never played on WPN, but seems okay... obviously not as crisp as pokerstars... but not horrendous...

the thing that i like about betcoin poker is that 1) it is easy to cash out 2) 1 player per account and must be 18 or older... so u wont get some 12 yr old making 50 accounts and colluding with his friends.

Betcoin has said they're in the midst of redoing their promos. I suppose that might be to bring them in line with the rest of the network, or it might not. Their existing VIP program seems pretty good to me, though I haven't done much analysis because there's such limited action there.

Last I checked WPN tournament rake did not qualify for Betcoin promos but they're supposed to be fixing that imminently.

Betcoin has said they plan not to integrate them. I kind of wonder if that will last if WPN is willing, but for the moment Betcoin seems to think they have new cash promos coming that will make things pick up.

And like 20 minutes after I posted that they remade their leaderboards. Among other things there's no SnG leaderboard anymore, which makes me think Sit & Crush is coming.

I do see BetCoin players on the current Sit & Crush leader board. Wondering if they'll be eligible for prizes in the promotion. BetCoin rep in the house?

From the Players-Club faq, cash-games section: "As an advanced player you would earn approximately 5 to 30% less status points than a traditional recreational player. "

What formula is used to determine advanced players and how much their status point earning rate is reduced?

Is there any such reduction in status points earned for tournament/SNG play?

The cash conversion rate listed for Player Club members is 66 RP to $1. Are RPs Bitcoin Points? If so, will this conversion rate fluctuate with the Bitcoin-USD exchange rate? (Otherwise it seems the effective rake return from converting points would fluctuate up as the Bitcoin price falls and down as the Bitcoin price rises.)

It's stayed 66 pts for 1 chip as long as I've been playing and I've been at betcoin for around 2 months now. they exchange for chips/ btc not money if I understand your question.

So Betcoin promoted a big thank you freeroll for all of their active players this weekend, Sunday at 3 pm, 1 BTC and a satellite seat into the big WPN weekly, not huge but worth playing, because it's not like there are many active players.

Then at 1:30 on Saturday they announced on Bitcointalk it was going to be held at 3:30 on Saturday instead.

I would not describe these people as having their act together at this point. (Unfortunately it's not as if their bitcoin competition were a lot better.)

I dug up the email I got on Friday and it has the Saturday time as well. I guess it's my fault for relying on the time they were posting on BCT. I've been around too long to not doublecheck something like that.

Thanks. I understand now that it's 66 points for a chip (.001 bitcoin) and not 66 points for a dollar. This means it stays in line with the bitcoin price and keeps the effective rake return a constant percentage.

Will WPN tournaments/SNGs qualify for rakeback? For deposit bonus clearing? For earning points that can be converted?

Does Betcoin handle BTC like SWC does? E.g. 1 BTC = x amount of chips, and will always = x amount of chips? Are cashouts handled in terms of BTC only, not fluctuating USD values?

I did actually look around a bit on the site and on a few threads here and at BCT and couldn't find it clearly stated. Maybe I missed it.

I've bought into a few of the $ tourneys with btc and the software applies an instant conversion rate.

When I bought into the $1.00 tourney, at the time the charge was 1.57 chips. That seemed reasonably enough in range of the going rate to me - at the same time in SWC chat I checked the value of $1 in chips and it came back as 2 which makes sense considering the bet bot doesn't do fractions of 1 chip in conversions.

Same as Seals - 1 BTC equals 1000 chips always

Yeah. These guys are lagging I think. They are working on it I think. Seems like they need to hire a competent poker person for their poker room.

These issues have been address on bitcointalk in the gambling section. No answers yet. Hopefully today they give a response.

They're back, but you have to restart the client to see them.

ETA: didn't fix the points.
