My wife has been interested in playing poker on one of the US sites. I have accounts at Ignition, Betonline, Carbon, and Globalpoker.

Does anyone know if having two accounts at the same address is allowed on any of these sites? Obviously we couldn't sit at the same tables, but we'd be playing different stakes anyway...

Should be fine in general. Presumably the play on your account will remain roughly the same and hers won’t just be created to get some sort of deposit/signup bonus

You can also have her email the sites individually to confirm it

This, this, this.

Not only can you do this, you absolutely should do this.

I may be wrong, but as Ignition is anon, I believe they allow more than one player to play the same account if you notify them, but that they won’t allow multiple accounts from the same address.

Ignition does. My wife also has an account. We (obviously) notified them first and they were more than receptive to it.

Damn I feel like an idiot, my girlfriend has an account on two of the sites I play on them and we never emailed them or anything.

I guess it's obvious we're two different people though, I play mainly PLO cash and she plays $1 tournaments/spins.

We've never had a problem or been notified of anything, but gonna shoot them an email just in case.

yeah your "wife" (or "girlfriend" or "cousin") will be fine. just try not to sit at the same table too often other than zoom.

Update: Betonline said no, Global said yes, and haven't heard back from Ignition yet but it sounds like the poster above was able to do it.

With Global, there may be an additional verification required to cash out, and obviously we can't play at the same table or tournament, but otherwise it's a go (and a good choice for newcomers to real money online poker... er - sweepstakes poker that is)

You can call Ignition for instant approval since their e-mail support sucks. That's what I did . Don't they have live chat as well? e-mail's the nut worst w/Ignition.

Both of us had to verify address/identity when asking for cash outs.

My wife and I Both play from the same house and internet connection. When we started Global asked for a clarification of my self and her I explain that we both play. If one of us joins a tournament the other one can not join that same tournament we can play at the same time just not in the same event or on the same table for cash games. We don't play cash games so there is no conflict. So its cool

Yep, that's what Global said to me too. Ignition responded with the AOK also. So just Betonline said no.

Email them. I'm banned from Stars because a University flat mate owed them money and refused to pay. Regardless of the fact that it's been 5 years, I'll never play Stars again because I failed to notify them ahead of time we were separate people in a temporary living situation.
